Would you like to help create a good everyday life for the youngest children – and at the same time be part of a professional community where we are curious about our own practice?

Then it might be you we are looking for.

The Platanvej nursery is part of Midtbyen's Children's House and has 39 toddlers. We are seeking a trained educator for 34-37 hours per week for a maternity leave cover (on an as-needed basis) with start as soon as possible.

At Platanvej the relationship is the starting point

When you work with toddlers, the small moments are big. A glance, a hand to hold, an adult who helps to find calm – or an educator who dares to follow the children's initiative and join in the play.

Our core task is

To create space for children's wellbeing and development.

This means that we are focused on how our pedagogical practice creates good opportunities for all children to be part of the community, develop and feel meaningful.

We work with the strengthened pedagogical curriculum and with translating our professional knowledge into something the children can feel in everyday life. We emphasize presence, good relationships, play, development and a close collaboration with the parents.

We are looking for you, who...

• are eager to work with toddlers and their development
• can create safe and development-promoting relationships with the children
• can be present and at the same time maintain an overview in a busy day
• can see yourself as an active part of a pedagogical team
• contribute to a positive and constructive collaboration with colleagues, leadership and parents
• are professionally curious and want to develop your own and our shared practice
• can translate pedagogical theory and knowledge into everyday action
• work in a structured way and can help create a good framework around the children's day
• want to use both indoor and outdoor spaces actively
• can be flexible and see opportunities when everyday life doesn't always go according to plan.

You do not need to know everything in advance. The most important thing is that you want to be part of the community, take responsibility for the pedagogical task and be curious about how we together can create even better frameworks for the children.
