About the job

Do you want to create good childhoods with presence, play, communities and plenty of outdoor life? Do you get energy from being with children, initiating activities and helping to create a daily life filled with joy, curiosity and great experiences? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for!

Lundsgårdsgade Kindergarten is seeking an engaged pedagogical assistant or pedagogical aide for a parental leave position of 32 hours per week with start as soon as possible or no later than December 1, 2026. The position is expected to run until week 27.

Welcome to Lundsgårdsgade Kindergarten

We are a kindergarten normed for 40 children, located centrally in Vejgaard in a lovely local area with good opportunities for trips and experiences outside the building.

We have a large and inspiring playground, where there is room for movement, play, exploration and small adventures in nature. We work with actively using the outdoor space and creating exciting activities where the children can explore the world, use their bodies and be curious together.

The children are distributed across two rooms, and we plan daily life with, among other things, smaller relational groups, age-appropriate activities and our cozy tradition of common festive Friday .

We work purposefully to create safe and developmental pedagogical learning environments, where there is room for both the individual child and the community.

For us, presence, good relationships and the children's perspectives are central. We work with NEST, visual learning environments and participation paths for all children, because we want all children to feel they belong and have the opportunity to participate actively in the community.

Our common starting point is that it should be good to be a child!

We prioritise professional development and create space for dialogue, sparring and reflection through team meetings every three weeks and staff meetings once a month.

The staff group currently consists of three pedagogues, two pedagogical assistants, a kitchen employee and a pedagogical leader. We want to be a workplace where we help each other, share our experiences and together take responsibility for the pedagogical task.

For us, pedagogical safety, job satisfaction and good parent collaboration are important values that we create together in daily life.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to make a difference for the children and contribute actively to a good everyday life. You do not need to be able to do everything from day one, but we hope you come with engagement, curiosity and a desire to learn.

We imagine that you

  • Love outdoor life. You thrive being outside and want to start play and activities on the playground – whether it is about movement, nature, creative ideas or the children's own inventions.
  • Take initiative. You notice opportunities, act on your ideas and contribute to daily activities and practical tasks functioning.
  • Have an eye for the children. You are present and curious about the children's perspectives and will help create good relationships and participation opportunities for all children.
  • Contribute with positive energy. You meet children, parents and colleagues with good humor, humor and a flexible approach to daily situations.
  • Want professional development. You are open to guidance and sparring and curious about how you can develop your own practice.

We place emphasis on you wanting to be an active part of the staff group and contribute to a community where we together create the best conditions for the children.

What can we offer you?

With us you become part of a kindergarten where we know each other, work closely together and strive for both children and adults to thrive.

We offer you

  • A workplace where pedagogical professionalism and development are given high priority.
  • Opportunity to develop your ideas and develop your competences in collaboration with colleagues.
  • A kindergarten that works with NEST, visual learning environments and participation paths for all children.
  • A daily life with good opportunities to actively use outdoor life and initiate exciting activities.
  • A collegial community where the individual employee is valued, and where we help each other.
  • A workplace focusing on pedagogical safety, job satisfaction and professional reflection.
  • A lovely group of children and good collaboration with the parents.

We believe that the best childhoods are created when we as adults are present, engaged and take joint responsibility for all children to have the opportunity to be part of the community.
