Pedagogical leader for co-leadership at Børnehuset Land og By on Nørrebro – become part of a daycare center in an exciting transformation

Do you want to help shape development and pedagogical practice in close collaboration with an experienced leadership colleague? At Land og By we are currently looking for a leader who is especially passionate about the good life in the kindergarten and will create strong leadership in a collaborative way.

We are seeking an additional leader for our lovely childcare center, which consists of the City House in Nørrebro and the Mikkelborg relocation house. Right now we have one leader for the entire center – but our leader dreams of a co-leader who will be involved in a close collaboration on the entire center’s operations and development.

Land og By has over the past year undergone a cultural change, where we have revisited and renewed our view of children, our learning environments, and our pedagogical practices from a child-centered perspective. That development is ongoing, and you will be instrumental in ensuring that this perspective is fully reflected in our pedagogical practice. It requires visible, present, and practice-oriented leadership.

We are looking for you who are especially passionate about early childhood pedagogy and have a vision for how we create a really good everyday life both in the city kindergarten and the relocation kindergarten. In that regard, you must also be present at our relocation kindergarten when needed.

You succeed when the staff succeed

As leaders we set the framework and guide the staff so they can succeed in their work with the children. We hope you share this leadership philosophy.

We call the new leadership constellation duo leadership. This means that you and your leadership colleague share the leadership of the entire institution. We don’t want more division; on the contrary, we need integration across the sites. It requires joint leadership and close collaboration.

You must be willing to engage in close collaboration, where we find the best paths together, bring different perspectives into play, and are open to each other’s experiences and ideas. We will shape the visions and direction together, and we will distribute tasks between you so that we both have more time for practice-oriented and professional leadership.

Personnel management is also shared between you, so that each of you is responsible for half of the staff in both the toddler unit and the kindergarten.

• You are a trained pedagog and have experience from both toddlers and kindergartens
• You do not need formal leadership experience, but it is an advantage if you have had exposure to leadership tasks
• You are organized and persistent, able to ensure that we keep our agreements and have an eye for continuity and implementation
• You share our view of children and people, where both children, parents and staff do well if they can – and when someone cannot, you support them in succeeding
• You can lead from the front, behind, and beside the staff and are not afraid to engage in dialogue and show what good pedagogy looks like in practice

About Land og By

We are an integrated daycare center located in Nørrebro. Here we have three toddler groups and three kindergarten groups – a total of 108 children. The kindergarten groups alternate between our city house and our country house in Mikkelborg. Both of our houses have good facilities and plenty of charm and soul.

Our playground is located on an external site in Nørrebro, where we have a small house with the necessary facilities. This means that children and staff in everyday life are spread across three different sites. You will share an office with your leadership colleague in the city in Nørrebro.

We are part of Cluster B in Area North, which consists of five day-care institutions that cooperate on both administrative and professional tasks. You will become part of a leadership team with both experienced and newer leadership colleagues, who look forward to welcoming you to the cluster and ensuring that you settle well into your new tasks.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Before employment, we will obtain criminal background and child protection checks and references.

The position is full-time, and we hope you can start on January 1, 2027.
