Pedagogical assistant or educational assistant for a full-time position at Børnehuset Saxen

We are looking for a new colleague who wants to become an important part of Børnehuset Saxen and will support the daily practice there where the need is greatest.

The position, which is a floating function, is available from 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 37 hours per week. If a full-time position is not right for you, we are happy to discuss a different number of hours.

In Saxen you will find a day care where pedagogy is at the center, and where staff work closely together to create a everyday life filled with presence, play and learning. We are looking for a pedagogy assistant who has a sense for the good childhood and meets the children from their perspective.

Saxen is part of area Grønnemose and is a lovely day care with about 65 children. We lie right by the bog and often use nature and the local area as a natural part of our everyday. You should therefore be keen to use outdoor life as an educational learning space.

As a float you get a special role in the whole house and must be able to step in where the need is greatest. It can be due to illness and absence, but also when a group of children needs an extra adult, or when a situation calls for more hands.

We expect that you are flexible, can create relationships with different children and adults and have an eye for where you can make a difference. You must be able to fit into different groups of children and be eager to get to know the house's children, routines and pedagogical practice.

The float position can be a very good match for you who are taking a gap year, considering a pedagogical education or would like to try your hand at working with children without having experience from the day care sector. You do not need to know everything from the start. We place emphasis on your motivation, your approach to the children and your desire to learn.

Your tasks can be

• To actively participate in play and activities – both indoors and outdoors
• To be a calm, clear and secure adult for the children
• To help with everyday routines such as meals, dressing and sleep
• To support structure and frameworks in the pedagogical everyday life

• Create secure relationships and are present in the interaction with the children
• Are curious, collaborative and raise questions when something is unclear
• Keep calm and take initiative – even when everyday life is busy
• Have a sense for the individual child and for the community in the group of children
