Who are we?

In Mosaikken we want to give the children the best conditions for thriving, learning and developing. Childhood should be filled with curiosity, play, care and fun experiences. Children should have the courage to explore the world and try things out – with present adults as a safe base.

To create quality in daily life, we work with clear frameworks, structure and a clear division of work. In the rooms we have three roles that change during the day:

• The caregiver focuses on the children's well-being and comforts and supports everyone's participation in the community
• The Flyer takes care of practical tasks such as diaper changes, setting the table and contacting parents
• The Deep-Diver is responsible for the play or activity that is in progress

The structure creates overview, presence and better opportunities for pedagogical immersion.

Mosaikken is an integrated institution centrally located on Nørrebro, right opposite Den Røde Plads. We have four nursery groups and five kindergarten groups and are based in a modern building from 2023 with bright rooms, direct access to the playground from all rooms, a motor skills room, a crafts workshop and an educational kitchen.

We are a diverse staff group with both experienced and new colleagues – educators, pedagogical assistants, track-switch pedagogues and teaching aides. Together we create a strong professional and collegial community.

We have a particular focus on inspiring play zones that invite imagination, creativity and immersion. Here children should experience joy, security and freedom to follow their own ideas.

Our wishes for you

Your experience from nursery or kindergarten is not decisive. We need different competences and perspectives, and we hope you are curious about your colleagues' practice and dare to ask questions and ask for help.

Please tell us in your application what you are particularly good at, or what you are passionate about. Perhaps you are good at IT, play an instrument or have an interest in children’s yoga. We would like to bring your skills and interests into play for the benefit of the whole house.

What we hope you will contribute

We are focused on creating participation opportunities for all children. Mosaikken has eight basic places that are integrated into the rooms. We hope you will help notice both the small and large communities and contribute ideas on how all children experience that they belong and are meaningful to the community.

What you can expect from us

You will receive a thorough introduction, a fixed sparring partner and the opportunity for ongoing reflection and professional sparring with a colleague in a leadership role. You are offered an onboarding interview and dialogue with the pedagogical leader during the probation period.

We help each other in daily life and value new perspectives, ideas and experiences. You will have space to get to know the house and the culture and the possibility to contribute to our collective development.

All employees at Mosaikken are employed 37 hours per week with rotating Monday and Friday shifts. Our basic schedule includes time for preparation during working hours.

Employment terms

The positions are 37 hours per week with start on December 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027. It is important that you clearly indicate in your application whether you wish to work in a nursery or a kindergarten group.

Wage and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between LFS and City of Copenhagen. We will obtain extended references as well as criminal and child attestation in connection with the hire.

Mosaikken is part of Cluster North E, which is smoke-free. We also offer employees access to chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage through Falck Healthcare.
