Are you a pedagogical assistant with a heart for preschool children – and an eye for their potential?

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for at Børnehuset Villavej!

From 01. December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, we are seeking for a permanent position a pedagogical assistant for our preschool. The position is initially 37 hours, but we are open to discussing the number of hours.

You will become part of a preschool group with about 20 children. Here, relationships, play, development, well-being and formation are important elements in daily life.

With us, small moments make a big difference. It is about being close to the children, following their initiatives and creating a daily life where they feel seen, understood and meaningful. Help the child develop roots and wings.

We are looking for you who want to be an important adult in children’s lives. You who can see the opportunities in everyday life and who can both dive into play on the floor, create calm around meals and seize the moments when a child takes a small – but important – step in their development.

We are a house in development with a dedicated development room for shared pedagogical reflection and Action Learning. From 2027 we will work according to the quality markers in Kids, just as we look into a period of continuing education for pedagogical staff.

We expect that you

• Can contribute to translating visions and pedagogical curricula so that they are felt in practice.
• Are engaged, independent and proactive and can both throw a ball and catch a ball from a child and a colleague.
• As a person you are robust and stable.
• Are loyal, flexible and development‑minded in collaboration with your colleagues and contribute to the community.
• Are clear in your communication and can help create a daily life where the structure serves to support the child and not the other way around.
• Contributes to and participates in close collaboration with colleagues and parents.
• Create security and presence for the children so they become part of the community and develop.
• Take on responsibility and be a role model for the children.
• Create a safe daily life for the children, giving room for well-being, play, learning and development within the framework we have.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement. Upon hire, Ikast-Brande Municipality reserves the right to obtain a child certificate and criminal record certificate with the applicant's consent.
