About the job

We are seeking several skilled pedagogical assistants to join our working community with us on our core task:

“Children and young people at Egely experience a safe and content-rich everyday life with reliable adults”

At Egely we are in an energetic and exciting process, where we continually work to optimize our methods and workflows in shared understandings, in order to provide the best offer to children and young people in a secure setting.

We ensure a thorough introduction, a mentoring scheme and follow-rotations in the practical collaboration with experienced colleagues in the current open departments, so you are equipped with tools, methods and workflows before you take on independent task-solving with your colleagues.

If that sounds like something you would like, then hurry to send an application – we look forward to talking with you, and we invite interviews on an ongoing basis.

Egely - in short

Egely is Region of Southern Denmark’s secure 24-hour institution for youths aged 12 to 17 who are placed on legal or social grounds. We have a total of 20 places, of which 5 are in the specially secured department. There are about 60 youths admitted per year. Currently we have 2 open departments with a total of 10 places.

When Egely has all places open, we are around 80 staff – primarily educational personnel in the living units, but also psychologists, healthcare professionals, social workers, teachers and other professional groups.

The youths we work with often have complex challenges with outwardly directed behavior, criminality, substance abuse or psychiatric issues.

Our most important task is to help the youths find calm and stability so they can build new life strategies and take steps toward a better future.

All children and youths at Egely are offered schooling or daytime activities in our internal teaching house, and have their everyday and leisure life in a living unit with four other children and youths.

The youths are often placed based on complex social, psychiatry-related and behavioral challenges such as outwardly directed or criminal behavior, substance abuse and other difficulties.
