About Skovvangskolen – A strong foundation in green surroundings

We are a diverse public school in northern Hammel with 600 children from preschool to 10th grade, perfectly situated in an active local community with forest, large green areas and Hammel Sports Center as our nearest neighbor.

Our school is characterized by a broad range of needs. We operate a large municipal special area with 13 special classes, a separate municipal offer Zenit for strong school refusal, as well as one of the municipality's 10th grade centers. In addition to our 2 general tracks from preschool to 9th grade we have an after-school program (SFO) with 176 children, of whom 16 are from the youngest special classes. For us, the vision is to create frameworks so that all children have both academic and social development and participation opportunities and feel competent in mastering the challenging tasks over time.

Your role – from broad community to special educational precision

We are looking for someone who can

• Exercise visible leadership: You thrive on being close to teaching and activities in the after-school program (SFO).
• Set direction: You can create followers and bring to life both the general pedagogical and special educational direction.
• Navigate complexity: With experience from the special area and collaboration with PPR and the family department you ensure that the most vulnerable children have participation opportunities while also maintaining a safe working environment for the staff.
• Communicate strongly: Therefore you have an eye for communicating clearly and timely to both staff, parents and the leadership team.

• Calm and with an overview: You maintain an overview when daily life is rushing by.
• Inclusive and decisive: You involve the staff, but also dare to make necessary decisions.
• Present: You have humor, a positive mindset and can lead with the heart at child level. You are genuinely engaged in children's learning and well-being as well as adults' professional development.
