About the job

We are looking for someone who is a qualified educator and who would like to become part of our integrated day-care institution in the nursery/toddler section.

Are you passionate about pedagogy and about creating safe, developmentally nurturing and attentive settings for the youngest children? Do you also want to be part of a workplace where you can use your professional expertise, and where your voice is heard, valued, and taken seriously?

So please read on — perhaps you are exactly the person we are looking for!

🌱 About us

We are a developing children's house where we together create a strong professional culture with a focus on presence, reflection, and community. With us, it is important that all staff experience influence and involvement in decisions that concern daily life and the pedagogical direction.

We are focused on relational work and have a particular emphasis on supporting children's social development and well-being. We work purposefully to create safe environments where children are met with recognition, clarity, and warmth.

We are facing a major establishment task, and we need you to thrive in a setting where there is no such thing as “the usual.” You will instead help shape the new “usual” in collaboration with your new colleagues.

🌿 NEST-inspired pedagogy – community for all

We are working towards starting up and developing our work with NEST pedagogy throughout the house. This means that we want to work from an inclusive approach, where we create learning environments that take into account children's different needs — socially, emotionally and cognitively.

We want the community to be the foundation of our pedagogical work. Our goal is to create a “nourishing institution” , where all children feel they belong, are seen, heard and met with positive expectations.

An institution where

  • all children experience that they belong and are a valuable part of the community
  • structure, clarity, and recognizability create security and support the children's well-being
  • we work consciously with pedagogical organization and visual support systems that make everyday life manageable and predictable for the children
  • the whole staff takes shared responsibility for all children and sees it as our collective task to create good participation opportunities for each child

You will become an important part of this development and have the opportunity to help shape the direction from the start.

🌸 We are looking for you if you

  • are passionate about pedagogy and children's development
  • want to work relationally and appreciatively
  • are creative and explore possibilities to find good solutions
  • can support the children's own play and initiate play when needed
  • can create safe settings and be present with the children
  • actively contribute to the community and take responsibility
  • thrive in teamwork and wish for success for the community
  • are curious, reflective and engaged
  • have the courage to be part of a development process (NEST).

As part of the Municipality of Høje-Taastrup, you will have access to a range of attractive staff benefits, including:

  • Opportunity to become a member of the staff association, which offers many different social activities across the municipality, such as gala party, escape room, ceramics, etc.
  • Annual staff party Bfit, which is a movement party with a wide range of activities and a subsequent party with live music
  • Opportunity to rent inexpensive holiday homes in Denmark, Germany and Spain
  • Free access to training facilities and free physiotherapist

We look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming new colleagues to a house where we together create strong communities for the children — every day.
