Caretaker wanted at Ansgarskolen

Ansgarskolen in Esbjerg Municipality is seeking as of January 1, 2027 a janitor/caretaker who has the required craft/technical experience.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Ansgarskolen is located in the heart of Ribe and provides general education for about 515 pupils from 0th to 9th grade, an asylum school as well as SFO and Klub Ribe. There are about 75 staff at the school and SFO/Klub.

The school is located close to the town centre within walking and cycling distance to a multitude of cultural and historical landmarks. In addition, the town is rich in leisure activities and independent businesses, as well as kindergartens and a high school, where many of our important partners can be found.

We are seeking a janitor/caretaker who has relevant craft/technical education as well as experience and routine in the area. We value the ability to engage in positive relations with students and the school's staff, where trust, humor, patience and human insight are key words.

We aim to hire a janitor who has an aesthetic sense, is service-minded and will work to ensure that Ansgarskolen is a good educational offering, where we have an inclusive view of people and a place where we place a high priority on the well-being of students and staff.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Maintenance of buildings in collaboration with Esbjerg Properties
• Organizational and administrative skills, and basic IT knowledge
• Takes pride in ensuring the school presents well and well-kept
• Daily supervision of outdoor areas/playgrounds
• Supervision and contact with craftsmen
• Minor repairs
• Security rounds
• Winter supervision - snow removal and salting
• Preparation of rooms for events at the school
• Management of the school's technical installations
• Planning and scheduling of tasks in collaboration with the school's leadership
