About the job

Marjatta is seeking employees for a permanent awake night shift for the Bøgen children’s group at the Skolehjemmet

Are you a vigilant night owl who would like to help our children and youths at night? And do you love consecutive days off after several nights shifts?

You must ensure that they have the best conditions for a good night’s sleep, and when they need you, you are the helpful hands that guide them through the night. At the same time you will also be the one who helps the children and the youths through their morning routine.

Bøgen is a 24-hour group divided into 3 departments: Lille Bøgen with one child, Store Bøgen with six children and Micro Bøgen with two children. The children are aged from 8 to 18 years.

As an employee you will primarily be attached to Micro Bøgen, as we are seeking awake night shifts for a child who has nights where it is difficult to settle. The Bøgen child group is one of three child groups at Marjatta Skolehjemmet. The children each have different challenges, different resources and therefore different needs and support requirements. As an employee in Bøgen you will become part of a large staff group.

We are seeking awake night shifts of 32 hours per week. Shifts are from 21:00 to 09:00 and will consist of three nights in a row.

As a night shift you will also help in the morning with morning routines.

We work around the clock with the aim of ensuring the continued development of professional competence in daily work as well as the well-being of the children in Bøgen. Therefore we are seeking night shifts who want to be part of this work and who think it is important that the night is experienced as safe and pleasant for the children at all times.

We offer

  • Pedagogical and health-science documentation.
  • A structured and rhythmic everyday life with care, meaningful activities and chores.
  • Training and supervision
  • An workplace where the work environment is in focus.

Expectations for our new colleague

  • You are ready to work on yourself, and prepared to work based on Marjatta’s value- goal- and action framework.
  • Interest in and a desire to work based on Rudolf Steiner’s educational methods.
  • You are willing and ready to take part in the night’s practical tasks such as e.g. personal care, as well as support with eating.
  • You are present and good at reading atmospheres and situations.
  • Flexible and structured.
  • Ability to work documentation-wise with the core task based on academically based methodological perspectives.
  • General computer skills.

Application deadline: There will be ongoing recruitment interviews, and the job posting will close when we have found the right candidates.

Written application and CV should be uploaded via our website.

Start date : As soon as possible. However, please note that the first month will also include several day shifts, where new staff can be introduced to the tasks, as well as get to know residents and colleagues, and get a feel for the rhythm of the house.

Further information: You are welcome to contact the Department Head Anne Katrine Schmidt Hansen at email [email protected] .

Salary and employment: The appointment is for 32 hours per week and pay placement is according to the regional agreement for social-pedagogical staff as well as Marjatta’s locally agreed preliminary arrangements.

Starting salary for employees covered by an agreement: Marjatta, under a service agreement with the Region of Zealand, is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
