AutoVidencenter Vejle at Syddansk Erhvervsskole is Denmark's largest educational center for truck and passenger car mechanics. Right now we are looking for a professionally engaged and experienced passenger car mechanic for the position of teacher, primarily for main training courses.

Our teaching programs span a wide range – from bridging for primary school pupils, basic courses in the mechanic trainings, to main courses where some choose EUX.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a journeyman’s certificate as a passenger car mechanic
• Has 5 years of experience from the auto industry – possibly supplemented with relevant continuing and additional education
• Is passionate about the mechanic trade and good at motivating others and teaching
• Has strong collaboration skills and thrives as part of a team where we succeed together
• Possesses good IT skills

If you have experience with teaching or leading young people, e.g. as a mentor or apprentice supervisor, it would be an advantage – but it is not a requirement to apply.

The most important is that you can let your professional engagement rub off on our students.

If you do not already have sufficient pedagogical prerequisites, you must have acquired a diploma in professional pedagogy or adult education within 4 years of employment, according to the school's assessment. The pedagogical diploma is included in the employment and takes place during working hours.

Employment

The position is full-time with salary and employment in accordance with the Ministry of Education's regulations for a civil servant-like position. Remuneration is based on basic pay grades 1-7 according to central agreement. Starting salary is negotiated according to local agreement after an assessment of, among other things, previous teaching experience. There is also an 18% pension scheme. The working week is 37 hours on average including breaks.

Start: 1 January 2027 - or as soon as possible!

The workplace is in Vejle.
