Foster family nationwide for a preschool-aged boy

Are you an approved foster family with knowledge of disabilities?

And are you ambitious regarding the boy's continued good development?

Then you might be the ones we are seeking in Family Foster Care Copenhagen.

The boy is very smiley, happy and loving, he is wonderful in contact with people around him. He is quick, curious and with a good sense of humor; he contributes well to communities with his warmth and joy. He is cognitively well functioning and attends ordinary kindergarten part-time with support, which he thrives on. He enjoys being social, he is good at singing and playing, and he is well-liked by the other children.

The boy has cerebral palsy and uses assistive devices. He is not age-appropriate regarding language, but is developing steadily. He is used to helping out at home.

The boy is in a good place in his life; he thrives and develops well. His upbringing has been marked by instability, and he needs care and love.

There is currently no contact with family.

About you

• You may have another child in the family.
• You may have pets.
• You are prepared to continually provide care and love, to motivate, stimulate and train the boy both physically and cognitively.
• You are prepared to collaborate across disciplines with, for example, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist and the hospital system.

You are not alone with the task, for we provide you with pedagogical supervision from a permanently assigned family foster consultant. At the same time you have the opportunity to participate in our wide range of courses focusing on current topics – see course plan on our website .

Honorarium

The level of compensation for the caregiving task is determined by the childs support needs and the expected scope of the foster familys efforts. There is an option to enter into a contract based on a renegotiation or an average model.
