Production Manager at Afinitas – with focus on people, operations and development

Would you lead a production area and create good results through visible leadership, efficient workflows and continuous improvements? On behalf of Afinitas, MatchMind is seeking a production manager who thrives close to daily operations, has an overview, and can get employees on board. You will be responsible for staff in production areas such as welding, assembly and shipping, where strong leadership, delivery reliability, and optimization of production are central elements.

A versatile leadership role close to production As a production manager, you will be responsible for daily operations and for ensuring that employees, materials, and capacity are utilized efficiently. You will have full personnel responsibility and must create the framework for a production that delivers on time and to the agreed quality.

You will join a team of three production managers who report to the plant manager. You will work closely with the planner on daily scheduling and follow-up, and with engineering, procurement, and other functions.

Your main tasks will be to

• Lead, motivate and develop the employees in your production area.
• Ensure daily prioritization, coordination and follow-up in collaboration with the planner and production coordinator.
• Actively use data and KPIs to monitor productivity, capacity, quality and delivery reliability.
• Identify and implement improvements that strengthen workflows, resource utilization and flow.
• Ensure a focus on the working environment, quality and cross-functional collaboration across production.

A clear and future-thinking leader with an understanding of production You have experience from a manufacturing company and have worked with leadership or coordination of employees and tasks. Perhaps you are an experienced production manager, or you may currently have a role as a coordinator or team leader and are ready for a larger leadership responsibility.

Your educational background is not decisive. You may have a technical or craft education, but your competencies can also have been built through practical experience. The important part is your understanding of production processes and the ability to translate plans into action.

You are curious and innovative, you challenge existing workflows, and you see opportunities to do things better. You have experience working with data and KPIs and use them naturally as a basis for decisions, follow-up and improvements.

As a leader you are visible and available, communicate clearly and know how to motivate and engage. You work in a structured way, but are also pragmatic and able to make decisions when daily life requires it.

Experience with Lean or other forms of production optimization is an advantage, but the most important is your ability to translate ideas and analyses into concrete results.
