The production in Ølsted is both high-tech and very hands-on. We handle many different products and customer types, and there are plenty of people, machines and processes that have to work together. Therefore we are looking for a production manager with an overview, drive and a desire to be visible where it happens. You should both be able to bring the day’s operations to a close and help build a stronger production for tomorrow.

What will you be doing

• You take overall responsibility for the daily production and ensure that capacity, staffing and customers’ needs are aligned.
• You are visible on all shifts, speak to people at eye level and make direction and decisions easy to understand.
• You lead and develop production managers and employees, and give them both responsibility, sparring and clear expectations.
• You follow up on KPI’s and other relevant key figures without forgetting the people behind the numbers.
• You collaborate closely with maintenance, suppliers and colleagues across the organization when breakdowns need to be resolved, and when possible to avoid them next time.
• You turn good ideas into concrete actions and follow up until new working procedures actually work in daily life.
• You work with budgets, estimates, purchasing and investments together with the department head, and raise the alarm well in advance if the plan slips.

Can you recognise yourself?

You are first and foremost a strong leader. You have experience leading leaders and larger groups of employees in a production or another operations organization. You have technical understanding and like data, but you also know that results are created through people, not from a spreadsheet alone.

• Experience with manpower planning
• Experience with the work environment
• Experience with continuous improvements and collaboration with maintenance or engineering.
• Experience with key figures and finance, and you have implemented changes in a culture where not everything clicked from day one.
• A technical education such as engineering
