Project Manager for construction, renovation and conversion - project employment

ABOUT THE JOB

Do you want to lead construction and renovation projects that make a real difference for citizens, users and employees?

In Rødovre Municipality we develop our buildings and physical framework. We renovate, remodel and build anew on, among others, schools, day-care institutions and culture and leisure facilities. This also includes buildings in the social and elderly care area.

We do not just build square meters, but create the physical framework for learning, care, community and everyday life. Therefore we are now looking for an experienced project manager who can translate visions and needs into well-run construction projects of high quality, strong user involvement and secure progress.

Your primary tasks

As project manager you drive our construction projects through all phases. You will be the link between users, advisors, contractors, management and other stakeholders. It is you who ensures that the projects reach safe completion.

Your tasks will include, among others

• lead construction, renovation and redevelopment projects from idea to delivery
• ensure progress, quality, economy and risk management throughout the project lifecycle
• prepare decision papers and presentations for management and political committees
• facilitate user involvement and stakeholder management
• manage external consultants and contractors
• ensure coordination across the organisation and between relevant professional areas
• support the development of the municipality's property portfolio and the long-term strategic objectives.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to developing our project and program work. This takes place in an organisation with high ambitions for quality, sustainability and collaboration.

YOUR PROFILE

We imagine that you have experience with project management within construction, civil works or renovation of buildings. You thrive in a role with many stakeholders and a wide network, and you manage to remain calm, have an overview and take action, even when projects meet unforeseen challenges. We emphasize that you can create trust and collaboration across disciplines and interests. You work structured, maintain an overview in complex processes and communicate clearly, precisely and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Additionally we would like you to

• have relevant educational background, e.g. as an engineer, architect, building constructor or similar
• have solid understanding of financial management, scheduling and contract matters

• thrive with responsibility and are motivated by achieving results through collaboration.

Experience from a public organisation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

SALARY AND EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement and after agreement with the trade union organisation entitled to negotiate. The position is a fixed-term (project) appointment with the possibility of extension depending on tasks and projects. It is a full-time position with start January 2027.
