Project Manager for truck body builds

Can you get projects, people and the workshop to work together – and spot the next steps before anyone else is waiting?

At SAWO in Sørup you will have a central role with responsibility for project processes, progress and the clarifications that move truck body constructions safely forward. You will get close to the technology, the customers and the people who build the solutions.

Take control and create the overall overview

A customer needs to make a decision. A project is approaching its next milestone. And the upcoming assemblies must fit into the plan. You weave the threads together, speak with the right people and follow up so the workshop can move forward.

We are in the process of implementing a common project model at SAWO. In Sørup you will become a key person in translating the model into a daily routine with clear agreements, fewer open questions and better coherence between the projects. You will have the opportunity to influence a new function and make a concrete difference for both customers and colleagues.

Your responsibility

You create an overview across the assemblies in Sørup 1 and 2 and maintain progress on each project. You succeed in the role when the team delivers the assemblies on the agreed time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed technical specifications. Your main tasks will be to:

• gather and maintain schedules for ongoing and upcoming projects
• follow the projects closely and clarify questions before they become waiting time
• coordinate handover meetings and secure clear agreements on responsibility and next steps
• keep the customer closely involved in the necessary clarifications and align expectations along the way
• clarify priorities with the foremen and involve the plant manager when price or lead time is affected
• follow up on control sheets and assist during final inspection

You keep the direction together with the foremen

You work closely with the plant manager, two foremen, sales and engineering. The foremen handle daily operations and personnel management. You have the long-term project overview and ongoing follow-up across. Your persuasiveness comes from your professionalism, your clear agreements and your respect for colleagues' knowledge.

Assemblies typically last 6–10 weeks. With around 16–20 ongoing assemblies and 10–15 in the nearest pipeline, you must thrive with several concurrent processes – and be able to see where your contribution makes the biggest difference.

Is it you we are looking for?

You have experience in managing several parallel projects and know how to translate an overall overview into concrete actions. You take ownership, follow agreements through to the end and speak up in good time when the plan is under pressure. At SAWO we want to be the best in the industry at keeping what we promise our customers.

Your background could be, for example, marine engineer, mechanical engineer, production technologist or production engineer. You have a general technical understanding and can engage in a qualified dialogue with professionals. Project management and overview are the most important; knowledge of trucks and cranes is an advantage but not a requirement.

• create structure and maintain the overview when several projects demand your attention
• listen to the professional aspects and can create buy-in without personnel responsibility
• communicate clearly in Danish with both customers and colleagues
• have experience with various digital programs and management tools
• enjoy making new workflows work in practice together with others
