About the job

We are seeking a technical project manager with a background as a Master of Engineering (mechanical engineering) or equivalent professional qualification, who can manage technical projects as well as the daily maintenance of technical installations in our exciting and varied building portfolio in the Copenhagen area as well as at our warehouse in Frederikssund.

Responsibilities

The tasks are diverse and primarily focus on project management of technical projects. In addition, the role includes operation and maintenance of buildings and technical installations in close collaboration with colleagues with various relevant backgrounds

You must have a structured approach to use, maintenance and update of technical documentation, as this is a significant part of the job. Work takes place both at the department’s office and in the buildings.

Furthermore we use a large number of external service providers, craftsmen and consultants. An important part of the job is therefore to manage and service the many partners so that they can deliver the best possible service to the library.

We imagine that you

  • Have a solid technical background such as a Master of Engineering or equivalent. It would be advantageous if you have experience with building operation, including CTS/BMS systems.
  • It is important that you are passionate about both carrying out larger and smaller technical projects, including renovation and modification projects on the technical installations, and that you want to take care of the daily operation of the installations.
  • As a person you are service-minded, responsible and able to work independently. You take ownership of your tasks, know how to prioritise them and thrive with both routine and complex tasks. It is a great advantage if you have experience with delivering both larger and smaller technical projects.

We offer

The position is in the Building Operations department, where we are 16 colleagues spread between Aarhus and Copenhagen. We manage the operation and maintenance of all our buildings, which together total about 120,000 m² in Copenhagen, Vinge and Aarhus.

Your workplace will be in the building behind the Den Sorte Diamant, where you will be surrounded at the office by skilled colleagues with different professional backgrounds. We consist of both technicians who handle the operation and maintenance of buildings and technical installations, and project managers who carry out reconfigurations and extensions as well as handle interior design and Facility Management.

The weekly working hours are 37 hours with physical presence. We place emphasis on a good work-life balance, and there is an option for flexible working hours.

Salary and employment terms

You are employed under the joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The Public Sector – (OAO joint agreement) as well as the collective agreement for master engineers ashore or another relevant agreement.

Start anticipated February 2027, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.

It is a condition of the position that you can obtain security clearance for confidential work.

Employment place is The Royal Library, Søren Kierkegaards Plads 1, 1221 København K.
