About the job

Are you going to help work on children's well-being and learning in a municipality that places a high value on cross-disciplinary collaboration and early interventions? Then you might be our new psychologist in PPR in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality.

Content of the position

The tasks will be within the day care sector as well as in the Easily Accessible Treatment Offer, if it matches your profile. The final distribution of tasks we plan according to your competencies and professional interests. Tasks in PPR in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality include, among others:

  • Consultation and sparring to pedagogical staff and day-care leadership.
  • Advice and guidance to parents.
  • Preparation of pedagogical-psychological assessments and including relevant examination work and testing.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with other PPR colleagues.
  • Planning and execution of interventions in day care.

You will be part of a stable and well-functioning group of psychologists with 26 engaged and kind colleagues. We have both very experienced colleagues who have been in PPR for many years, and newer colleagues who have joined in recent years. In addition you will have a number of PPR colleagues in the form of speech therapists, multilingual consultants, special education teachers and special education consultants, as well as employees in the municipality's motor skills team and referral team.

In Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality we work from a collaboration model that ensures regular meetings between the different professions around the children.

We have implemented the statutory easily accessible municipal treatment offer — with us called The Easily Accessible Offer (LTT) — and it is anchored in PPR. This means that the treatment work and the pedagogical-psychological work take place side by side, and that you as a psychologist in PPR have the opportunity to work with both parts.

We want our new colleague to be able to say yes to the following

  • Qualified psychologist (cand.psych. or cand.pæd.psych.) – this is a prerequisite to be able to undertake the tasks the position contains.
  • Preferably with practical training.
  • Preferably experience from PPR.
  • Strong in developmental psychology, educational psychology and organizational psychology.
  • Enjoy planning one’s working day based on the tasks prioritized in collaboration with day-care leaders.

We offer you

  • A position with good opportunities for professional development, where we value supporting you in your professional interests and competencies.
  • Sweet and fun colleagues who prioritise each other both professionally and socially.
  • A mentoring scheme and opportunities for task solutions together with psychologist colleagues and other interdisciplinary colleagues.
  • Regular supervision.
  • A workday with varied tasks and the opportunity to plan your own day.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Preparation time for new psychologists – to acquire knowledge and experience in the PPR area.

We do a lot to help new colleagues settle well and we prioritise accessible, present leadership with solid knowledge of our field.

We hope to have aroused your curiosity and interest. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact TR, Line Munch Wahlstedt, at phone 23 62 65 50 or email [email protected], or the team leader for the psychologists in the day-care area, Karoline Nakel, at phone 23 28 46 64 or email [email protected].

Practical

It is a permanent full-time position with commencement on 4 January 2027. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating a supplement.

Application deadline is 30 October 2026 and there will be a job interview on 12 November 2026.

Workplace

PPR House, Lundtofte Skolestræde 6, 2800 Kongens Lyngby, as well as in the day-care centers in the municipality. Since the tasks take place at several sites, it is necessary that you have the possibility to transport with your own car or bicycle.

We will obtain child abuse background check and criminal record prior to employment.

In Lyngby-Taarbæk you will become part of a strong professional community with high ambitions in an organization with about 4,000 employees, all working toward the common goal – to create value for citizens and businesses. We emphasise good leadership, well-being, professional and personal development opportunities, creativity and innovation, and a balance between work life and leisure. We see diversity as a resource and value that each employee contributes with their particular background, personality and abilities.
