One of our colleagues has retired and therefore we are seeking a public health nurse for a permanent position in the Hindsholm and Kerteminde district, with start 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is 37 hours/week, but with the possibility of a lower number of hours.

About us – Public Health Nursing in Kerteminde

We are a team of 8 public health nurses, distributed across three districts: Kerteminde, Langeskov and Munkebo. All work in combined positions.

We are based in Munkebo, close to our partners within the 0-17 years children and youth area.

We are a stable and development-oriented group, which prioritizes professional excellence.

Our services and tasks

• Home visits to families up to the 2-month visit (maternity visits always on weekdays). After that, predominantly in public health nurse consultations.
• Pregnancy visits to first-time parents and as needed
• Use of AIMS, EPDS, Gotland and ADBB
• Consultancy function in day care
• Clinic for Healthy Diet and Exercise
• Parent group programs with the Circle of Security
• Group programs for mothers with mild to moderate postpartum depression (Compassion)
• Baby team for families in vulnerable and at-risk positions
• Interdisciplinary conferences in schools and day-care centers
• Smoking/nicotine cessation efforts for pregnant women and school children

Organizational placement

We are part of the Kerteminde Municipality's Family, Children- & Youth Counseling , which houses all well-being-promoting and preventive efforts for children and young people. The department is led by one common chief and 4 managers for about 60 employees.

The vacant position is organizationally placed in the Children and Youth Counseling (BUR) , which is an interdisciplinary unit with about 30 employees divided into PPR and Public Health Nursing. We are a small municipality and therefore have close collaboration with colleagues from PPR and Family Counseling. This also because we share office space on the same floor as colleagues in the Children and Youth Counseling and Family Counseling.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Is a trained public health nurse – preferably with experience from both infancy and early childhood as well as the school sector.
• You have an appreciative approach and are passionate about prevention and early intervention.
• Works in a structured, independent and collaborative manner
• Is a team player who takes responsibility for the group and the shared tasks
• Wants to develop professionally – preferably with experience/interests in group programs for parents related to the Circle of Security and offerings to pregnant women and young people regarding nicotine cessation.
• Is flexible, proactive and has strong relational skills
• Has good IT skills
• It is necessary that you have a driving license and own car

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the current agreement for Public Health Nurses concluded between KL and the Danish Nurses’ Organization. The position is classified as Public Health Nurse at 37 hours.

Expected salary range: DKK 32,152 - DKK 39,539 per month for 37 hours per week, excluding employer-paid pension, flex benefits and holiday allowance. Local allowances, qualification-, function- and grade allowances may also apply.

The final salary determination will be based on your qualifications and previous professional experience after concrete negotiations with the relevant trade union.
