At Suhrsvej 28B we are seeking a qualified pedagogue who wants to work closely with people and be part of a daily life where relationship, professionalism and human presence go hand in hand.

With us we work with young adults who need more than structure and practical support. They need adults around them who stay present, even when it gets tough, and who can see the person behind the behavior.

We are therefore looking for a colleague who can build relationships, keep calm in complex situations and at the same time be curious about what lies behind what we see.

About the residential facility

Suhrsvej 28B is a private social-pedagogical §107 group home for youths and adults from 18 years. Our residents have various psychological, social and developmental challenges. These may include attention and developmental disorders, anxiety, stress, depression and difficulties with attachment. Some have or have had substance use.

What they have in common is the need for stable relationships, clear boundaries and individual support to create a more coherent daily life and develop the greatest possible independence.

Your daily life with us

As a pedagogue you become an important part of the residents' daily life. Some days the work is about structure, appointments, finances, employment or practical ADL tasks. Other days it is about a drive, training, a cup of coffee and a conversation that suddenly opens up something important.

There are also days when a resident can be particularly challenged, where an appointment falls through, or where the situation develops differently than planned. Therefore you must be able to work in a structured way without being rigid.

Your tasks will include

• Build and maintain stable and trusting relationships
• Support residents in structure, employment, education, finances, daily rhythm and ADL
• Work on motivation, development and residents' own goals
• Support participation in social activities and communities
• Handle conflicts and acute situations calmly and professionally
• Document the pedagogical interventions and follow up on outcome goals
• Collaborate with relatives and relevant external partners
• Actively contribute to professional reflection and sparring in the staff team

Our professional foundation

Our pedagogical work draws on cognitive approaches, MI, Low Arousal and social skills training as well as narrative perspectives. The methods are important, but the relationship comes first.

Experience with residential facilities, dual diagnoses or substance issues is an advantage. We also place emphasis on professional curiosity, reflection and a desire to continue developing one's practice.

We are looking for someone who is a qualified pedagogue

It is a requirement for the position that you are a qualified pedagogue. We are looking for a colleague who can translate their pedagogical expertise into practice and engage in a close professional collaboration with colleagues and external partners.

• Can set clear and professional boundaries without losing the relationship
• Can remain calm when a resident cannot
• Is curious about the cause behind behavior rather than merely reacting to it
• Can work independently while knowing when to call on colleagues
• Communicates clearly, concretely and de-escalates conflicts
• Can reflect on own practice and contribute with both successes and dilemmas in the professional community
• Willing to work with people where development does not necessarily occur in a straight line

Practical information

• Permanent position as a starting point at 37 hours per week. The hourly amount may vary from week to week.
• Working hours cover the entire day – weekdays, weekends as well as Sundays and holidays.
• The shift plan generally entails work every 4th weekend.
• Start: As soon as possible.
• Interviews are held on an ongoing basis, and the position will be closed when the right candidate is found.
