About the job

Do you want to help drive and develop quality work at one of Denmark's most exciting workplaces?

About us

The position is placed in the Quality Management (QM) element which belongs to the Aviation Safety (AS) section.

The QM element's main task is to ensure that the Air Transport Wing (ATW) complies with applicable laws, regulations and standards. In addition, the QM element shall support learning and continuous improvements across the organisation.

Currently, there are eight employees in the Aviation Safety section, of whom three belong to the QM element.

About the position

You will be one of the key players in the quality area, helping to implement ATW's quality policy through audits, planning and execution of training activities, monitoring of performance, mentoring and coaching, further developing the quality and flight safety organisation, and contributing to ATW remaining a learning organisation. Your tasks will therefore include that;

  • Participate in planning and conducting system- and process audits at Air Transport Wings units in accordance with the ATW audit program.
  • Be Aviation Safety's expert in the area of monitoring as well as data- and performance analysis.
  • Create and follow up on deviations, improvements and other case types.
  • Participate in internal and external Flight Safety and Quality Management seminars.
  • Maintain and participate in further development of ATW's quality management system including the ATW non-conformity database.
  • Contribute to ensuring that Air Transport Wing meets all applicable requirements as well as both military and, where relevant, civilian aviation standards.
  • Be a mentor in the quality area and support ATW units in connection with optimization initiatives aimed at increasing quality, safety, operational and maintenance efficiency mv.
  • Prepare and deliver training within the quality area at ATW units.
  • Participate in external audits by the Air Force's other authorities.

In addition, you can expect to participate in investigations of flight events as a technical investigator.

As part of the Quality Management team you report to the Chief of Quality in a flat hierarchy with a broad/people-friendly working culture. In the position as Quality Auditor you will have an interface to all other units within ATW and at Aalborg Air Base.

About you

We imagine that you have at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: quality work, audit and control activities, performance monitoring, Business Intelligence or data analysis. Your experience can have been gained in the Defence or in the civilian sector. The most important is that you have a solid professional understanding and a desire to use your competencies to create value and development in the organisation.

It would also be a great advantage if you have experience with Quality Management Systems as well as supporting IT platforms and tools.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the Royal Danish Air Force or from civilian aircraft maintenance or airport operations. A qualification as an aircraft mechanic or electronics mechanic would also be an advantage. What matters most is that your personality matches the requirements of the position and the ATW organisational culture. We therefore expect you to be independent, analytical and methodical in your approach to task solving, and that you as a person are service-minded, professional, collaborative and coaching in your interactions with colleagues and fellow humans.

It is also an advantage if you have experience with instructional work, course planning and the creation of e-learning courses.

Since part of the work is conducted in English, it is important that you can communicate fluently in both Danish and English – spoken as well as written. You are a good communicator who can translate complex subject matter into clear and understandable language.

We offer

The position is advertised broadly and can be applied for by both civilian and military candidates.

You will be employed in accordance with the current collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility of negotiating an addition. The position is linked to an employer-financed pension scheme.

As an employee of the Danish Ministry of Defence organization, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout the employment.

You have as an employee an obligation to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar operations.
