About the job

Are you passionate about authority work, and do you want to be part of a committed and experienced team? Then you now have the chance to become our new colleague in the visitation team in Brøndby Municipality.

As one of our colleagues has sought new challenges, we are seeking a new visitation officer to our team. We have chosen to re-advertise the position to broaden the applicant field and hope to hear from you who wish to become part of our team.

About us

The visitation department consists of a total of 31 employees distributed across administrative staff, visitation-, assistive device-, and caseworker teams as well as an assistive device depot.

”We value professional quality in our case processing. Based on our professional knowledge we ensure timely help that supports the citizen's ability to live as independently as possible. Become part of a strong professional environment,” - Annette/visitation officer

The visitation team consists of 9 visitation officers who handle authority tasks within personal care, practical help, rehabilitation, care and elderly housing etc. In addition, we have 4 discharge coordinators who ensure good and coherent transitions from hospital to municipality. We handle cases based on a holistic approach with reference to the municipality's quality standards, service descriptions and applicable legislation.

We are self-managing and have great influence on planning our work day based on the joint task solving. The visitation group is organized into smaller teams that reflect the municipality's districts and areas of legislation within both the Elderly Act and the Social Services Act. This provides in-depth knowledge of the area's home care groups, partners and citizens.

Interdisciplinary collaboration is a natural part of everyday life, and we participate weekly in interdisciplinary meetings with home care, therapists, dementia coordinators and preventive staff to ensure cohesive processes for citizens. We also hold regular dashboard meetings with home care, where we follow developments in care and welfare pathways and discuss citizens to ensure the right interventions, pathway type, and a shared professional direction.

The vacant position is located in District East together with 2 experienced colleagues and you will be attached to a team responsible for citizens covered by the Elderly Act.

Vision

Our vision "Longer out – closer to" is the core of our work. We believe that strong relationships and close collaboration with citizens, home care and other partners create the best everyday life for citizens.

Therefore we place high importance on communication and collaboration skills and actively work to build social capital across the organization.

Authority responsibility and role

We work based on the Elderly Act's intentions of near visitation, self-determination and holistic pathways. This requires strong professional competencies, good collaboration skills and the ability to handle complex issues. At the same time we are aware of our authority responsibility and the role as gatekeeper regarding the municipality's interventions.

"With us you get both influence and security. You will be heard and have the opportunity to shape future changes often with real influence. We stand together and help each other across, and you always have management behind you. It creates a strong community and a secure everyday life where we lift together." – Dorte/visitation officer
