About the job

We are increasing staffing in the disability area, and we are seeking a visitator for § 83 and BPA. Do you want to help develop the function?

Have you a health professional background and a desire to use your expertise in authority work? Do you have an interest in working with complex citizen cases and in finding solutions that are based on the individual citizen's needs and daily life?

So perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

We are increasing staffing in the disability area and are seeking a visitator who will play a central role in the work with personal and practical assistance under the Service Act § 83 and BPA under § 96 of the Service Act.

The position is anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry, which is the authority for the specialized adult area. You will become part of an authority department in development, where we work purposefully to strengthen professionalism, create clear workflows and ensure cohesive interventions for the citizens.

The position is established as part of our staffing increase and gives you the opportunity to help develop the function and the workflows from the start.

You will especially work with assessing citizens' need for help under § 83 and with the health- and functionally-related assessments that are part of BPA cases under § 96.

You will also become a close collaboration partner for a social work case handler anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry. The case handler focuses on the social-legal part of the case, while you contribute with your health professional and functional assessment.

We believe that the best solutions are created when different professional disciplines come together. Therefore you will work closely with case workers, citizens, relatives, residential facilities, suppliers and other relevant partners.

Your primary tasks

  • Make concrete and individual assessments of citizens' need for help under Service Act § 83
  • Work on assessing the need for help and support in connection with BPA under § 96
  • Participate in the assessment of citizens' functional capacity and total assistance needs
  • Collect and assess relevant professional information
  • Maintain dialogue with citizens, relatives and partners
  • Collaborate closely with the social-legal case handler
  • Contribute to follow-up and reassessment when the citizen's needs change
  • Document your professional assessments and contribute to a solid basis for the authority's decisions in our case system CURA
  • Help develop workflows and the quality of authority work in the area.
  • In BPA cases you will work in close collaboration with the social-legal case handler, so that the health, functional and social-legal assessments are integrated. You will therefore play an important role in the complex cases where the citizen's need for help must be assessed across disciplines.

We imagine that you

  • Have a health professional education, for example as a nurse, social and health care assistant, occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and preferably experience from visitation, authority work, home care, residential facilities or work with citizens with extensive and complex support needs.
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge of and preferably experience with the Service Act and § 83 and § 96.
  • You are good at creating structure in complex cases, can work independently and also have an eye for when a case requires close collaboration with other disciplines.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully and understand that authority work involves professionalism, law, documentation and dialogue with the citizen.

About the team and the workplace

In the team we currently number 17 employees. We are composed of an economics consultant, two administrative staff, four advisors working with the disability area, four advisors working with the psychiatry area, one advisor with § 109 and § 110 cases as well as social frikort and Housing First, a professional coordinator, a social-legal contract negotiator, an outreach employee under § 99 and a manager.

We are a workplace where high professionalism and diligence go hand in hand with humor and collegial care. We place emphasis on supporting each other in daily life and have a shared understanding that no one can do everything alone, but together we can do a lot.

With us you get a position where you have the opportunity to

  • be part of the staffing increase in the disability area
  • help develop a new and strengthened visitator function
  • have close and committed collaboration with social-legal case workers
  • actively bring your health-professional expertise into authority work
  • work with complex and professionally interesting citizen cases
  • get opportunities for professional sparring and development in a developing authority department
  • have the opportunity for working-from-home days
  • participate in Team/subject meetings every week.

We work from the principle that the citizen should experience coherence in the meeting with the municipality. Therefore it is important to us that different professional disciplines work closely together and have a common view of the citizen's situation.

As a visitator you will be an important part of this collaboration. You will have your own professional role, but you do not stand alone with the complex cases. You will become part of an authority community where the visitator's health professional perspective and the case handler's social-legal and legal perspective complement each other.

The appointment is anchored in Visitation Handicap & Psychiatry, and you report to the head of the authority area.

If you want to help develop a strong and cohesive authority effort in the disability area, where your expertise makes a difference for the citizens, we look forward to hearing from you.
