Re-advertisement - church sexton at Ordrup Church 30 hours per week

Do you have practical sense, a good mood and a desire to be an important part of life in an active church?

Ordrup Church is seeking an engaged and versatile church caretaker who thrives in a daily life where no day is quite the same. We are looking for a colleague who can work independently, plan and prioritize tasks, and at the same time engage in close collaboration with the church's other church caretaker Marie Barfoed, and the church's other staff.

The position is essentially part-time at 30 hours. For the right candidate, the parish council is prepared to discuss expanding the tasks with a view to a full-time position.

We are looking for a church caretaker who

• preferably has experience as a church caretaker or from a similar position
• has good collaboration skills and a positive approach to work
• is approachable and easy to talk to people
• has good situational awareness and takes pride in delivering quality work
• can work independently and take responsibility for the day’s tasks
• has practical sense and is hands-on

Your responsibilities will include, among other things

• preparation of the church and participation in services and church ceremonies
• cleaning and general maintenance of the church and the parish house
• care of the church's outdoor areas
• setup and moving of tables and chairs in connection with events
• purchasing and stock management
• supervision of craftsmen, technical installations and other operations
• other practical tasks contributing to the church's daily life

The position involves physical work, and it is therefore important that you thrive with practical tasks.

We are continuously working to develop the church's operations and create good conditions for the church caretakers' work. Among other things, we want to create opportunities for extra resources for special tasks such as main cleaning and larger maintenance tasks, as well as looking at more sustainable solutions in the care of the church's outdoor areas.

Employment takes place at Ordrup Parish Council located at Henrik Hertz Vej 1, 2920 Charlottenlund.

The appointment is governed by the Common Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organizations (OAO-S) and the Organizational Agreement for church officials with core tasks as church caretaker or sexton, concluded between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and the Danish Church Caretaker Association and the accompanying protocol for church caretakers. The agreements can be viewed on the Folkekirken Intranet.

Current civil service employed church caretakers have the right to preserve their civil service status upon appointment with direct transfer. In that case, a reclassification of the position must take place.

The annual salary is agreed within the range of 324,667 kr. – 408,841 kr. (current kroner for full-time position).

There is a standby/availability obligation to the position. The standby allowance amounts to annually 33,231 kr. (current kroner for full-time position).

OK allowance of 1,401 kr. (current kroner for full-time position) per year.

A pay placement agreement within the salary interval is made between the parish council and the Danish Church Caretaker Association.

The OK allowance and standby allowance are quotaed in accordance with the employment fraction of the position.

If you are not trained as a church caretaker, it is a condition that the mandatory 5 weeks of training for church caretakers is completed within 2 years after the start of employment.
