About the job

We are re-advertising the position because we want to find the very right colleague for our strong professional community. Maybe it’s you?

With us you become part of a department where we have high professional standards, good collegiality and a culture where we help each other. We believe that the best results are created when we thrive, have opportunities for sparring, and stand together on the tasks.

With us you get a meaningful job, where every day you help ensure financial security and good service for some of the municipality’s residents. At the same time you become part of a well-functioning team where we value both professional collaboration and the good mood in everyday life.

If you are motivated by professional challenges, citizen contact and good colleagues, we look forward to hearing from you.

About the job

As a colleague in the Pension and Health Care Team you will among other things handle cases concerning:

  • Personal allowance
  • Health allowance
  • Extended health allowance
  • Assistance for health treatment under the Activation Act

In the team there are three colleagues and each of you is responsible for your own cases. At the same time it is a completely natural part of daily life to help each other when tasks peak or there is a need for sparring. With us you are never alone with a difficult task.

We place emphasis on professional quality, integrity and collaboration. Therefore we have an environment where we share knowledge, help each other and find good solutions together.

Telephone citizen contact is a natural part of the job, but personal citizen service can also occur. Therefore it is important that you enjoy dialogue and can meet citizens with respect, presence and understanding.

You will have good opportunities for professional development through ongoing sparring with colleagues, weekly case meetings and close collaboration with our professional coordinator. Here we discuss complex cases and ensure that we continually develop our professional expertise.

We also continually work to improve our workflows and are currently adjusting and developing several of them so that everything is up-to-date. Therefore we hope you are eager to contribute your ideas and experiences.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Have experience from the benefits area
  • Are familiar with KP and preferably also KY
  • Have an eye for both legislation and people
  • Can work independently and at the same time be a good team player
  • Thrive with responsibility and actively participate in the community
  • Can express yourself clearly and understandably both in writing and orally

It is important to us that you can translate often complex legislation into concrete decisions and at the same time ensure that citizens receive dignified and respectful treatment.

We collaborate closely across the center because we know that the best solutions are created in a collective effort. Therefore we are seeking a colleague who contributes positively to collaboration and the good atmosphere.

Your background

You have a relevant education in public administration, for example

  • Public Office Education
  • Municipal Administration Training
  • Social worker or social mediator
  • Bachelor in Public Administration

However, the most important is that you have the right professional competencies and a desire to be part of our community.

Why you should choose us

In the Benefits Department you get much more than just a job.

You will become part of a department where we take care of each other, help each other and have a strong focus on well-being. We believe we succeed best when there is a balance between high professionalism and a good work environment.

With us you get

  • Skilled and helpful colleagues
  • A workplace with high professional standards and good sparring
  • A high degree of trust and influence
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • Flexible working conditions
  • A meaningful job where you make a difference for the citizens

The position is 37 hours per week, and wages are set according to the applicable collective agreement and your qualifications. For the right candidate there may be a slightly reduced number of hours.

Flexibility in everyday life

We know that work-life balance matters.

Therefore we offer flexible working conditions. Among other things we have introduced “Flexible Friday.” This means that you can usually choose for yourself whether you take time off, work from home, or come to the office on Fridays.

In addition, there is the possibility for you to work from home on one of the other days of the week.

About the Benefits Department

The Benefits Department consists of 14 engaged employees spread across four teams

  • Cash Assistance Team
  • Control Team
  • Flexible and Sickness Benefit Team
  • Pension & Health Care Team

In addition, we have a housing-focused employee, a professional coordinator and a departmental head.

What unites us is that we are passionate about our field and value the good collegiality, and we work every day to ensure that citizens experience dignified, professional and correct case processing.
