Reliable transportation coordinator – with control of drivers and daily operations

On behalf of Ribe Biogas we are seeking a transport coordinator who will be responsible for planning and coordinating the transport to and from the biogas plant. You will have the daily coordination responsibility for 8 drivers as well as associated substitutes and you must ensure that the transport supports the plant's operations.

You report directly to the director and will have a broad contact surface to farmers, hauliers, suppliers and colleagues at the facility.

A central role in daily planning

You will have a varied daily life with responsibility for both dispatching, driver contact, financial follow-up and administration.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Plan and coordinate the daily and weekly transport.
• Coordinate and follow up on tasks and staffing for 8 drivers as well as substitutes.
• Adjust schedules in response to changes in deliveries, weather conditions, illness and other operational needs.
• Manage ongoing dialogue with the drivers and ensure that the daily planning functions.
• Follow up on the transport area’s budget and make financial decisions within the agreed framework.
• Ensure correct registration and documentation of deliveries, quantities and transports.
• Prepare overviews and reporting and follow up on deviations.
• Support invoicing and biomass settlement in cooperation with the finance function.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, including driving and rest time regulations, environmental requirements, agreements and internal procedures.
• Contribute to optimizing workflows and planning.

You collaborate closely with the operations manager, plant employees and the administration.

Experience with transport, logistics and daily management of drivers

We imagine that you have experience from transport, logistics or dispatching, where planning and coordination have been a significant part of your daily life. For example, you may have worked as a dispatcher, transport coordinator or logistics coordinator.

It is an advantage if you have experience with personnel management, budget follow-up and the rules for driving and rest time. Your industry background is not decisive – you can come from transport, agriculture, the construction sector, utilities or production.

In addition, we value that you

• Communicate clearly with drivers, suppliers and other partners.
• Have good numeracy and an eye for economy and quantities.
• Work systematically with registration, documentation and follow-up.
• Are comfortable with IT, especially Excel, and preferably have experience with planning and registration systems or ERP.

You create an overview and make things work

You are structured and responsible and maintain an overview when plans and priorities change. You take initiative, follow up on agreements and find practical solutions when everyday life requires it.

You are good at collaborating with different people and can create a respectful and clear dialogue with the drivers. At the same time you thrive in a role where you both have to make decisions, handle administrative tasks and be close to daily operations.
