Team Leader for the Construction Office (Copenhagen)

We offer

You will become a leader with responsibility for personnel management of about 12 employees. You will receive a clearly defined portfolio of tasks, which you must ensure ongoing development and operation of.

It has been politically decided that the Building Regulations should be revised to promote a green transition of the construction industry. The task is located in the Office for Construction. In order to lift it, we must collaborate across the office's professional groups. This means that a substantial part of the leadership task is to contribute in a dedicated and loyal manner to a solution-oriented cross-disciplinary collaboration. Therefore employees not only solve tasks in their own team, but also contribute to solving tasks anchored in one of the other two teams in the office.

You will lead the Building Regulation and Administration Team, which works with diverse concrete initiatives and regulation – including revision of the Building Regulations – in addition the team also handles a number of other operational and development tasks related to construction.

Your profile

It would be advantageous if you have experience with and knowledge of regulation and state/municipal administration, as a large share of the staff will be lawyers or have tasks related to administrative issues.

In addition, experience working in a political organization, e.g. from the central administration, a municipality or relevant industry association, weighs heavily.

Documented leadership experience is not a requirement, but experience with informal leadership is absolutely an advantage. It is also important that you are persistent, want to create results and know that the best happens by contributing to an appreciative and trusting collaboration with both leadership colleagues and employees.

It is a requirement that you have a relevant higher education degree (cand.scient.pol., cand.jur, cand.soc., cand.mag., cand.scient.anth. or similar).

About the Office for Construction

In the Office for Construction we work on implementing political agreements and on developing and maintaining the technical rules for construction. The office has almost 40 employees distributed across three teams, each with a head of staff.

We solve our tasks with high professionalism, responsibility and opportunity for influence. At the same time we prioritize sparring and collaboration across the office's teams.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent full-time position with start date 1 January 2027.

You will be employed under the state agreement for academics (overenskomst for akademikere i staten) entered into between the Ministry of Finance and the academic organizations. You are employed as a leader. The expected salary level will be provided at a potential first interview and set based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including education, experience, competencies and the scope of the position.

The position's area of employment is the Ministry of Children, Elderly and Housing with its associated institutions. The workplace is the Agency for Social and Housing, Holmens Kanal 22, 106 0 København K.
