The department's laboratory is DANAK-accredited and performs more than 4,500 analyses annually using both molecular genetic and cytogenetic methods. We employ a wide range of analytical technologies, from classical karyotyping to advanced genome sequencing, including long-read WGS. The laboratory is characterized by ongoing technological and methodological development, where quality, automation and optimization of workflows are central focus areas.
Research and professional development are highly prioritized and are an integrated part of the department's work.
