Job Description

Do you have solid experience with soil and groundwater contamination? Are you motivated to lead complex and interdisciplinary environmental projects that create value for both customers and society? And would you like to help develop the expertise and sustainable advisory services in a nationwide department?

At Ramboll we are looking for a senior project manager/senior advisor who will combine strong technical expertise with project management, client advisory and business development.

About the job

As a senior project manager/senior advisor you will have a central technical and commercial role in Ramboll's nationwide department for soil, groundwater and building contamination. The department consists of about 65 talented colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds, including engineers, biologists, geologists and technicians.

The department is distributed across seven offices and four geographic teams. You will become part of a strong professional environment where you will have the opportunity to take responsibility, influence the scientific development and collaborate closely with skilled colleagues across the country.

We work broadly with soil handling, contamination investigations, risk assessments, monitoring, remediation of soil contamination, development projects, selective demolition and building contamination. We also offer Environmental Due Diligence cases, including environmental assessments in connection with buying and selling properties.

Projects range from remediation programs and methodological development to complex contamination cases with significant societal impact. We work, among other things, with environmental technical pre-studies for major urban development projects, cleanup work and risk assessments related to pesticides, chlorinated solvents, landfill gas and PFAS.

There is also an opportunity to work on strategic sustainable soil handling across Ramboll and collaborate with Envidan's water specialists. In the area of building contamination we work with some of the country's larger environmental mapping and demolition assignments.

Your responsibilities

As a senior project manager/senior advisor you will among other things be responsible for

  • Leading complex environmental projects from planning to execution.
  • Ensuring high professional quality in investigations, risk assessments, monitoring, remediation solutions and reporting.
  • Advising clients on soil and groundwater contamination and sustainable solutions.
  • Translating complex data, field results and regulatory requirements into clear professional assessments and concrete recommendations.
  • Contributing to tender work, client relationships and development of the business.
  • Contributing to professional development, knowledge sharing and quality assurance across the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovative solutions and sustainable soil handling.

About you

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant higher education, for example in geology, biology, environmental chemistry or a related field.
  • Have solid experience with consulting in environmental projects and soil- and groundwater contamination.
  • Have experience with contamination investigations, risk assessments, monitoring and remediation solutions.
  • Have strong competencies in project management, planning and financial management.
  • Have knowledge of Danish environmental regulation and regulatory processes.
  • Can translate complex data, field results and regulatory requirements into clear professional assessments and usable recommendations.
  • Have good communication skills in Danish and English and can set direction, motivate others and collaborate across disciplines.

It would be advantageous if you also have experience with bid work, framework agreements, client dialogue and quality assurance of reports and other professional material.

We offer

At Ramboll you will get

  • A clear professional and commercial role with influence on professional development, quality, bid work and client relationships.
  • Complex and societally relevant projects with clear impact for clients, the environment and society.
  • Opportunity to work with sustainable soil handling and development of soil strategies.
  • A strong professional environment with good opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • A nationwide network of specialists and opportunities to collaborate across Ramboll and Envidan.
  • Flexible working arrangements with the possibility of hybrid work.
