Help the environment - become a rodent case handler at Aalborg Municipality

We are seeking a colleague for the Environment Department in Technology and Environment. The position is for the rodent area in Team Agriculture, where we are 5 people working with rodent case handling. The control is outsourced to an external contractor.

About the job

In the daily work the main emphasis will be on regulatory handling in the rodent area and related administrative tasks. You should therefore enjoy delving into case processing – but also be ready to go on inspections together with the pest control when the situation requires it. Sometimes things move quickly, and you must be ready to adapt.

We provide thorough training, and you will become part of a department where sparring and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life. Several of the tasks are highly complex in that multiple parties are involved in the case processing – including property owners, utility companies and the road authority.

Here are examples of tasks that you will be responsible for

• Regulatory handling of rodent reports and rodent control, including cases concerning sewer defects.
• System administrator for the team's subject system in the rodent area.
• Administrative tasks including, among others, economy, action plans, strategic work, data handling and dissemination.
• Contribute to the daily operation and development of the municipality's efforts in the rodent area.
• Supervision and follow-up in collaboration with the pest control company.
• Case processing regarding the installation and maintenance of rodent barriers.

About you

You have a relevant education in the environmental field – preferably with technical insight. You could be an engineer, environmental technologist or have another natural science or technical education. The most important thing is that you have an interest in the rodent area and a desire to work with regulatory tasks.

You will interact with citizens as well as other authorities and partners. Therefore you are likely outgoing, and it is important that you work solution-oriented through constructive dialogue and are strong in written communication.

It is an advantage if you have experience with municipal rodent case handling or environmental case handling in general, but it is not a prerequisite.

About us

The Environment Department consists of approximately 40 employees distributed across three teams: Corporate Environment, Agriculture and Industrial Waste. You will become part of Team Agriculture, where you have 11 engaged colleagues.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is permanent with a 37-hour work week and is to be filled no later than 1 January 2027. The workplace is Technology and Environment, Stigsborg Brygge 105, 9400 Nørresundby.

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organizations.

You must have a driving license for a car.
