Share your interest in cars with a 16-year-old boy

Are you interested in cars and practical projects? And can you create a calm and safe relationship with a 16-year-old boy who needs support in social contexts?

About the task

You will be a steady support for a 16-year-old boy with atypical autism, Asperger's and OCD. He can be reserved in contact at the start and particularly needs support in social contexts. Therefore it is important that the relationship has time to develop at a calm pace.

The boy is interested in PlayStation, iPad and YouTube and is especially fascinated by cars and building things. Activities can therefore be based on his interests, for example you build something together, game or go on trips with a focus on cars.

It could be trips to a car dealership, to look at cars or spare parts or to a car meet. Your task is to create good and safe hours together with him based on activities that motivate him.

There is a dog in the home.

About you

You can be a Pedagogue or unskilled with relevant experience. It is important that you have knowledge of autism and OCD and can meet the boy with a calm and patient approach.

At the same time we are looking for someone who genuinely wants to engage with his interests. Therefore it is relevant that you are interested in cars, gaming and practical building projects and want to use the interests actively in the relationship.

You must have a driving license and your own car, so you can go on trips together. Expenses related to driving as part of the role are reimbursed.

Working hours

The position is 9 hours per week distributed over two fixed afternoons

Tuesday 1:30 PM–6:00 PM

Thursday 1:30 PM–6:00 PM

Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement between FOA and Dansk Erhverv.
