About the job

A position averaging 14 hours per week, where you as a Social- and Health Care Assistant (SHA) will have responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make a real difference every night.

You work 1:1 with the young man and are responsible for the respiratory monitoring. There are no nursing tasks.

Your tasks include among others

  • Monitoring non-invasive respiratory treatment (mask therapy)
  • Observation of his condition throughout the night
  • Documentation
  • To act according to applicable instructions when changes occur
  • To create reassurance and stability throughout the shift

In the quiet periods of the night there is an opportunity to read, study, knit or similar, as long as you remain attentive and maintain the monitoring.

About the home

You will become part of a warm and safe home with

  • A happy and cooperative 17-year-old boy
  • A present mother
  • Siblings in the home
  • Dogs

We are looking for someone who

  • Is educated as a Social- and Health Care Assistant (SHA)
  • Thrives with independent responsibility and is flexible during holidays and illness
  • Is stable, calm and responsible
  • Can work at night and keep an overview
  • Is comfortable working in a private home
  • Likes dogs, as the family has a dog in the home

Experience with respiratory monitoring is an advantage but not a requirement. We provide thorough training so you feel confident in the task.

If you do not live in Vig but can see yourself in the description below, you should definitely apply.

  • Calm night shifts in a private home
  • No personal care or transfers
  • Fixed schedule and predictability
  • Thorough training and a respiratory course
  • Possibility for extra shifts
  • A workday focused on quality rather than busyness

Opportunity to combine the job with another employment or studies

For the right SHA, this is a position where the working conditions often outweigh the commute.

The family is described best as welcoming, respectful and easy to collaborate with.

Shift schedule

We work according to a fixed 6-week rotating schedule.

The shifts are in the time frame;

20:00-06:30/07:00 on weekdays and Sunday

and 22:00-09:00 Friday and Saturday and during holidays.

You have on average eight night shifts over six weeks corresponding to about 14 hours per week.

You generally work every third weekend with two consecutive shifts, and the other shifts are planned in dialogue with you.

We place emphasis on flexibility and strive to adjust the schedule as much as possible to both your and the family’s needs.

Training

If you do not already have respiratory experience, we provide the necessary training, which among other things consists of:

  • Training shifts
  • Respiratory course
  • Subsequent approval for independent shifts
