The department houses 11 residents with dementia. We work across disciplines in a collegial community with SOSU staff, a nurse, an occupational therapist, a social educator and house assistants.

A little about the position

• You have great influence on how daily life is organized. Daily sparring with your colleagues is an important part of everyday life
• Holistic care is an important part of the new adult care act – It’s about providing care and assistance that address the resident’s needs in full, based on their life history
• The position is expected to be filled on January 1, 2027
• The position is in mixed shifts, with a preference for day shifts
• There is weekend work every other weekend on even weeks
• The position is initially 37 hours/week

Professional competencies

• You are educated as a social and health care assistant, or a social and health care helper
• You have strong health professional competencies
• Ability to document in Cura
• Can contribute to an interdisciplinary collaboration and include multiple professional perspectives in complex medical processes, e.g., collaboration with the nursing home doctor, nurse, etc.
• Focus on residents’ well-being
• Familiar with dementia is preferred

Personal competencies

• You work respectfully and calmly in your interactions with people with dementia, and you understand the importance of creating security through your approach
• You thrive in an environment where collaboration and interdisciplinarity are a natural part of everyday life, because you know it strengthens the quality of care
• You can work in a structured way, even when daily life is unpredictable, and you manage to keep an overview in situations where residents need your calm and professional expertise

Salary and terms of employment

According to the applicable collective agreement for social and health personnel (73.01) which is concluded between KL and the FOA union.

For final employment, a criminal record check must be available and references collected.
