About the job
Become part of a specialized and interdisciplinary team! Do you want to make a real difference for people with acquired brain injury? Are you eager to work with rehabilitation at a specialized level, in close interdisciplinary collaboration, and a daily work life where professionalism, structure and relationships go hand in hand? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.
Be part of an important professional journey
We are seeking social and healthcare assistants for permanent positions in rehabilitation at a specialized level, physically located in Herning on Bytoften. The positions are available for appointment from January 1, 2027 or by agreement.
We are in the midst of an exciting development. According to the health reform, the specialized area will be transferred from the municipality to the region as of January 1, 2027. This means that you will become part of an organization in change – with the opportunity to influence your professional field, contribute to the development of specialized neurorehabilitation and participate in an important journey for both citizens, employees and partners.
Who are we?
We work with citizens after completed hospital stay, where the duration of stay depends on each citizen's development potential – typically a program of three months. In rehabilitation we work towards the individual citizen becoming active and participating in their future life based on their own resources, wishes and needs, and in close collaboration with relatives.
What sets us apart from many other workplaces is our longer patient pathways. We become part of the citizens' lives over weeks and months, and that enables us to work deeply and holistically – not only with the injury but with the whole person and the life the citizen will return to.
You will become part of a dynamic, engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, social and health care assistants, neuropsychologist, speech therapist and chief physician. We work targeted and specialized with rehabilitation plans for the individual citizen.
The position and your tasks
There are permanent full-time positions. You will join a shift schedule, as the unit is staffed around the clock. The work includes shifts at different times of the day as well as weekend work. We have two shifts, and there is room for individual considerations as we work with wish plans. The exact scope will be agreed closer to the start and planned in the shift roster.
You can expect the following tasks
- Specialized neurorehabilitative nursing care and support of a rehabilitative approach in daily work with the citizens.
- Collaboration with citizens, relatives, doctors, hospitals and municipal partners.
- Contribution to interdisciplinary rehabilitation plans and targeted interventions.
- Documentation, status descriptions and professional communication.
About you
We are looking for someone who
- Is professionally engaged, curious and eager to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex issues in a rehabilitative daily life.
- Is interested in, and preferably has experience with, neurorehabilitation and complex pathways.
- Sees neuro-educational strategies as a natural part of the task.
- Has good collaboration skills, thrives in team collaboration, seeks sparring and values interdisciplinary cooperation.
- Is proactive and able to plan and prioritize own tasks independently.
- Communicates and conveys clearly both orally and in writing and thrives in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
- Moves seamlessly between monodisciplinary and interdisciplinary tasks, even when daily life requires quick shifts. At the same time, you actively contribute to a good working environment together with your interdisciplinary colleagues.
It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but not a requirement, as rehabilitation for some citizens will also take place in the citizen's own home.
What can you expect?
With us you enter a workplace where professionalism and humane proximity go hand in hand. We offer:
- A close interdisciplinary collaboration with the citizen at the center and the opportunity to closely follow the citizen's development.
- A thorough introduction program with professional guidance, supervision and competence development in relevant tasks.
- A varied daily life with professional challenges and a focus on quality and evidence-based practice.
- A good working environment with psychological security, committed colleagues, good mood and room for togetherness.
Do you want to help set the standard for specialized neurorehabilitation? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
