About MSA

At Medical Ward A (MSA) we work with a holistic view of the person, and therefore we see patients as whole people and not just a disease with symptoms.

We have the largest ward in the hospital, with space for 30 patients. Most of our inpatients are geriatric, but in addition MSA also accommodates endocrinology, infectious disease and internal medicine patients.

Due to several specialties and complex patient groups, a workday consists of different tasks including care, medication and coordination of patient pathways between hospital and home. We therefore work closely with our partners in the municipalities to ensure the good transition between sectors. We are busy, but we love being here and feel the difference we can help create every day.

You should expect that MSA is a ward where social and health care assistants are trained to independently handle ward rounds and discharges. Many social and health care assistants are also trained to administer IV fluids and IV antibiotics. We expect that you are willing to learn, and that you are strong in your professional field and clearly yourself can help articulate your limitations and strengths.

About the staff

We are a mixed multidisciplinary staff group in experience, age, gender and ethnicity.

We have a large study unit with two clinical mentors and two training supervisors who coordinate students' and pupils' progression.

About the position

• A permanent position of 37 hours/week.
• Start December 1 or January 1.
• Weekend work every 2nd or every 3rd week.
• Mixed shifts – either day and evening shift or day and night shift.
• Possibility for great influence on your own work schedule – MinPlan.
• Holidays allocated according to a point system.
• Summer vacation allocated collectively.
• You must have good spoken and written Danish skills.

About the introduction/onboarding

You will receive an introduction program for yourself as well as your shift schedule for the first period, which you will be sent before start. We always begin an employment with an expectation interview, because of course we do not expect you to know everything when you start. At the expectation interview, we together adjust and tailor your introductory course.

We always work in pairs, so you will never be alone. In the first month your partner will be carefully selected for you based on the things you need to learn.

Thereafter follows an interview after one month and again after three months. You should expect that your introduction period will extend over the first year.

We conduct interviews in two rounds.

First round with the latest application deadline Oct 22 with interviews on Oct 26.

Second round with the last application deadline Nov 12 with interviews on Nov 19.

Salary and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for non-management staff in the health sector, concluded between the Health Sector parties, including the Danish Nurses Organization and Regions’ Pay and Tariff Board. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory background check.

The position is a full-time position.
