Ankermedet Care Center in Skagen is seeking a Social- and Health Care Assistant for the evening shift.

We are looking for an evening shift worker who is educated as a SSA, who together with a fantastic team of colleagues has a goal of creating the best possible conditions for residents at Ankermedet Care Center to live a good and dignified life.

Welcome to Ankermedet Care Center

The care center is distributed across 3 connected houses with 10 apartments each, of which 26 are permanent residences and 4 temporary spaces. Our physical surroundings are good, with, among other things, a lovely and inviting courtyard.

In our team you will have about 50 colleagues with different educational backgrounds, and as Ankermedet is part of Ålbæk Care Center, we are strong.

A little about us

At Ankermedet we have a good culture and a sober and respectful interaction with each other, residents, and relatives. We achieve this by consciously working with the physical and psychological work environment, and we always ensure that we base our collaboration on trust and respect as keywords.

Your colleagues come with relevant educational backgrounds, which contributes to a good dynamic and a good interaction where we talk more about competencies than about professional groups and more about tasks than resources.

The professional environment is high, and we continuously work on competence development for everyone. This can be with internal and external training, through collaboration partners and the practicing doctor. From mid-autumn 2026 and for about 2 years, courses will be held for all professions in our center in relation to the establishment of the new elderly law.

We place high value on small activities, in collaboration with volunteers both planned and spontaneous, always based on the residents’ abilities and with a home-like atmosphere in mind.

What will a typical evening shift consist of?

As part of Ankermedet you will have three fantastic colleagues on the evening shift, and you will also collaborate with the two other Care Centers, as well as Home Care in Skagen. We call this cluster collaboration.

The tasks are primarily personal care and practical tasks; we naturally work with the rehabilitative approach. You will also participate in preparing practical tasks that make the day run smoothly for your colleagues in other shifts, but greatly also ensure that residents experience stability and continuity.

What are our expectations of you?

With your educational background we expect that you have the willingness and ability, together with your colleagues, to raise the professional responsibility and professional awareness in a work community. We also expect that you are always a good and serious sparring partner for your colleagues and relatives. That you can take responsibility and maintain an overview as a SSA to work structured and goal-oriented.

Documentation is also important to us, both to strengthen the care of our residents, including the continuity that our citizens and relatives request, and also so that we always have control of our professionalism. For that task we use Fællessprog and CuraSystematic.
