Social and Healthcare Assistant for the new Health and Care Places in Herning

The healthcare system is undergoing great change. As a result of the Health Reform, Region Midtjylland will take over the municipal emergency functions as well as the Health and Care Places from January 2027. Here we will become part of the new department Citizen-Centered Health , and our current Health and Care Places at the Rehabilitation Center will play a central role in the effort. We will continue in the same modern and well-functioning physical premises.

At the Health and Care Places we work with rehabilitation, holistic care and high professional quality based on national quality standards. As a social and healthcare assistant you will be part of a strong professional environment with around 60 engaged and competent colleagues.

You will never work alone. We have nurses on duty around the clock, which ensures professional sparring and support when needed. In addition, fixed doctors are attached who regularly hold ward rounds.

About the position

• Permanent position up to 37 hours per week (opportunity for fewer hours)
• Primarily day shift with some evening shifts
• 6-8 evening shifts over a 12-week period
• Weekend shift every 2nd weekend or 5 weekends in 12 weeks

• Internal teaching and relevant courses
• Supervision and debriefing as needed

• Are educated as a social and health assistant, preferably with experience
• Want to develop competencies within both nursing tasks, ward-round functions and holistic care
• Work independently, structured and with good overview
• Have strong collaboration skills and contribute actively to the community
• Can involve both citizens and relatives in care and treatment
• Contribute positively to the working environment, culture and well-being
• Want to help develop the future of the nearby health system
• Appreciate skilled colleagues, professional sparring and room for humor in daily life
