At Strandgården we know that the best days are created in the meeting between people. Therefore we are looking for a social- and health care assistant who is passionate about creating security, joy of life and meaningful moments for our residents.

The position starts on January 1, 2027, but we are happy to wait for the right colleague.

Who are we Strandgården is an EDEN-registered nursing home with 31 residents, all living with dementia. With us dignity, self-determination and joy of life are not just fancy words but things we actively work with every single day. With us no day is the same. Some days call for calm and presence, others require initiative, creativity and a good laugh. Common to them all is that we meet the residents with care, respect and professionalism.

Our home consists of three living units: Solkrogen, Bøgehaven and Rosenhaven. Here you will find green courtyards, personal front doors and an atmosphere that feels more like a home than an institution. Here there is room for everyday life, relationships and the small moments that make a big difference.

We also share the home with three cats, who take their caregiving tasks very seriously, when they’re not lying in a sunbeam.

About the job The position - in short

• 30-37 hours per week - preferably a combination of day and evening shifts
• The shift schedule is planned in dialogue with you, so we find the solution that works best
• Work every other weekend
• Working time planned over a 12-week norm period, where we as far as possible take your wishes into account while ensuring good operation

We see care as more than practical tasks. It is about creating security, quality of life and meaningful moments for people with dementia.

In daily life you will among other things work with

• Care, compassion and health-care interventions with the resident at the center
• Documentation and professional follow-up in NEXUS
• Dementia-related issues, reflection and sparring with engaged colleagues
• Guidance and support for both colleagues, residents and relatives
• To contribute actively to an environment where professionalism, respect and collaboration go hand in hand
• Most of all: to meet people with presence, curiosity and heart

You will be part of one fixed living unit, where you get to know the residents and their stories well. At the same time we are one house that helps each other across when needed. In your daily life as an assistant you should be able to thrive working in the whole house.
