About the job

As the January 2027 budget has been settled, we are seeking 2 skilled and dedicated caseworkers for our Youth Team with start as soon as possible. Both positions are 37 hours, one position is permanent, the other temporarily until the end of 2028.

So if you would like to make a difference for the most vulnerable young people between 18-30 years, we can offer you a strong professional environment where cross-professional collaboration is highly valued and sparring in concrete citizen journeys is an important element of the work. You will work independently and can help set the professional direction and implement new initiatives in connection with the “Citizen at the Helm” program.

About the position

You will be employed in the Social Department and will join a team of five other caseworkers who handle cases for young people in need of advice and guidance or concrete interventions under the provisions of the Social Services Act. Physically, you will be based at the Youth Center Frederiksberg, where we have gathered the municipal youth efforts. Therefore, you will work closely with colleagues in the job center and educational guidance, with a basis in the municipal youth effort (KUI).

In the Social Department we work from a recovery-oriented and rehabilitative approach, where we always keep the citizen’s perspective, wishes and goals in focus. Our most important methodological tool is the Adult Intake Method, VUM 2.0, and in addition we work with LA2 as a new tool in collaboration with our service providers. We also offer conversations to young people with substance use issues following the U-Turn model and run short counseling courses based on a preventive and holistic approach.

We have a close and good collaboration with the municipality’s housing and day services, citizens’ relatives, Frederiksberg Municipality’s Substance Abuse Center, and a number of other external partners in the risk- and psychiatry area. We want to engage in an inclusive and effective collaboration with the citizens.

We are an workplace where new things happen all the time, and where there is ongoing need to adapt and develop our efforts and methods for the benefit of the citizens. We are focused on ensuring that our efforts contribute to change and rehabilitation for the citizens we interact with. We have a strengthened focus on the opportunities in involving resources in civil society, both in the citizen’s own network, voluntary organizations and general services in the local area.

Your tasks will include

  • Provide advice and guidance to young people aged 18-30 with reduced physical or mental functional abilities
  • Offer both shorter and longer clarifying programs
  • Receive new inquiries and quickly be able to clarify and assess the citizen’s needs
  • Assess the citizen’s functional level, assess support needs and interventions, and prepare decisions
  • Follow up on actions initiated under the Social Services Act for adults, including social-pedagogical support and temporary residential care under § 85 and 107
  • Provide guidance, refer to substance abuse treatment and follow up on treatment under §101 of the Social Services Act
  • Collaborate with the Family Department in connection with the transition from youth to adulthood
  • Coordinate in individual cases with e.g. educational counselors, region, service providers, the labor market department, etc., as part of a holistic approach
  • Collaborate with relatives
  • Participate in ongoing development tasks.

We imagine that you

  • Are educated as social worker, social educator or have another relevant education
  • Have experience as a caseworker within the specialized adult field, preferably with particular knowledge of psychiatry
  • Have special knowledge of substance use issues and preferably experience with treatment
  • Have a particular interest in and knowledge about the double-diagnosed target group
  • Have experience with VUM 2.0 and work systematically, purposefully and results-oriented with application and follow-up cases
  • Can maintain an overview in a sometimes hectic everyday life and can work independently
  • Have flair for cross-cutting collaboration and coordination of a citizen’s case
  • Are dynamic, engaged, and appreciative in your approach to citizens, relatives, colleagues and partners
  • Are service-oriented, flexible and have a good mood.

We offer you

  • To become part of a closely collaborating team where we know each other’s cases and therefore spar a lot with each other
  • A workplace that emphasizes professional sparring and knowledge sharing with colleagues, professional consultants and management
  • Group-based professional supervision
  • Good development opportunities
  • Varied tasks with high complexity
  • Dedicated and supportive colleagues
  • Leadership focused on employee well-being, high professionalism and quality in the work
  • A world-class canteen in a dynamic activity house full of life.

We promise to give you a very warm welcome, provide thorough onboarding and ensure you come on board.
