Solution Architect with a holistic view - and experience with AI

Can you see the big picture, from data and governance to infrastructure, and at the same time see where AI can make a difference? As a solution architect at the Danish Business Authority in Esbjerg you will be responsible for ensuring our solutions fit together across teams, and for AI being considered where it creates value.

About us

You will be placed in the Product Unit for Market Surveillance in the Danish Business Authority's Department of IT and Digital Innovation. We are a digital authority, which through data-driven market surveillance and supervision contributes to Denmark being an attractive country to run a business in and a safe country for consumers.

The Product Unit for Market Surveillance consists of 5 teams and a total of 25 colleagues. We are responsible for the IT support of the Danish Business Authority's Market Surveillance department and handle development, operations and data management of about 30 IT systems. The vast majority of our developers are permanent employees and sit internally with us.

Your tasks

You ensure that our solutions are cohesive, and that data, governance and infrastructure are considered from the start. In this way, a solution is seen not only from the perspective of one team. You prepare solution designs and approve solution proposals based on the Reference Architecture. You work closely with our development teams and Product Owners to make architectural decisions early, so they can guide development in line with the business needs.

We focus on building case management supporting integrations between our systems and AI, so our case workers get new possibilities in their daily work. You will help us design solutions that integrate our systems with AI tools in a secure and compliant manner. It is highly valued if you already have experience in this field.

You will be part of a professional community with the rest of the Danish Business Authority's 8 IT architects, where you share knowledge, discuss common architectural decisions and support each other across departments. In the community you work with the shared Reference Architecture, which you collectively further develop and use as the basis for your solution designs.

You will among other things

• Ensure coherence of our solutions across teams, data, governance and infrastructure
• Prepare solution designs and approve solution proposals based on the Reference Architecture
• Promote reuse of functionality and transparency in our IT architecture
• Identify and assess where AI, LLMs and machine learning can create value in our solutions, and ensure that our use of AI complies with the AI Regulation and governance requirements
• Be the product unit's voice in the Architecture Team
• Participate in refinement, Sprint Review and planning of roadmaps

We place emphasis on you

• Having experience with solution architecture and being able to see solutions in a larger context
• Having an understanding of data, governance and infrastructure
• Having experience integrating AI, LLMs and/or machine learning into solutions
• Having knowledge of the AI Regulation and AI governance
• Being able to communicate technical choices so that both developers and business understand them
• Being curious and keeping yourself updated on developments within AI
• Knowing Bizzdesign or similar architecture tools. It is an advantage, but not a requirement
