The Agency for Civil Security works every day for Denmark's security. We support authorities, companies and citizens in preventing and handling the threats the society faces, and we have a central role in coordinating national crisis management.

Your role and your tasks

In the Agency for Civil Security we are in the process of expanding our IT unit. The unit already consists of skilled and dedicated colleagues, but there is a need to strengthen the unit to support the agency as it grows, and as the procurement and development of new IT solutions accelerates. Therefore we are looking for new colleagues.

The IT team is part of the Office for Economy, HR and Internal Service, where we are 30 colleagues handling tasks within Economy, IT and security as well as Facility Management and procurement. We are an office that has many collaboration and sparring partners across the agency's other offices.

Since the positions are newly established, you will have the opportunity to help build your own role. It is essential that you can see yourself in a agency and in a unit that is under construction. We build it up together, and you must be able to thrive in the changeability that comes with the development phase.

Your tasks will include

• actively contribute to building our professional IT unit
• participate in cross-cutting collaborations, both internally and externally, including defining solutions to IT support needs
• with your technical knowledge, contribute to the development of the IT support that is essential for the agency to solve its many different tasks
• participate in IT projects and tasks where there is a need to consider the IT-technical angle, including the implementation of new IT solutions.

About you

We are looking for new colleagues who, in addition to motivation, also have a strong professional foundation and preferably a technical foundation. You may have a relevant academic educational background, or you may be an IT architect with interest and competencies within business and system architecture. You may also have a good understanding of the underlying infrastructure as well as its setup and maintenance. We are casting broadly among many profiles.

Experience from positions in a public organisation is an advantage, e.g. from Statens IT, The Danish Armed Forces or similar, but it is not a requirement.

In addition we would like you to

• have documented IT experience
• have knowledge of IT architecture and in-/outsourcing or IT infrastructure
• have an overview and are used to prioritising tasks and ensuring progress in processes and task solving
• thrive with many partners and are good at creating and maintaining collaborative relationships
• have experience with working in a politically governed organisation and also preferably with cooperation with large public IT suppliers such as e.g. Statens IT.

Salary and terms of employment

Placement is dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the applicable state agreement for employees in the state. The employment area is the Ministry of Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness with associated institutions. It is a condition of employment that you can obtain security clearance to the classification level SECRET and can maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.

The position is a permanent full-time position and is desired to be filled as soon as possible.

Your fixed place of work is the Agency for Civil Security, Datavej 20, 3460 Birkerød. The Agency also has an office in Østerbro.
