SOSU Esbjerg is looking for a core-subject teacher for the pedagogical assistant education.

The core subjects play an important role in the students' academic and personal development, and you will need to help make Danish and social studies vibrant, relevant and meaningful for future pedagogical assistants. If this sounds like something for you, perhaps you are the person we are looking for as a teacher on our pedagogical assistant education program.

Your academic tasks

As a core subject teacher you will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating teaching based on academic goals and the students' learning needs, and in addition we expect you to:

• make the core subjects relevant to pedagogical practice and create teaching that challenges, engages and supports the differing prerequisites of the students
• develop varied, student-activating and practice-oriented teaching
• work systematically with the students' linguistic, communicative and social sciences competencies
• contribute to holistic instructional sequences in collaboration with colleagues
• work purposefully with students' learning, progression and assessment

We expect that you

• have experience with teaching at a vocational education, but this is not decisive.
• have teaching competencies in Danish and/or social science. It is an advantage if you can teach both subjects, but not a prerequisite
• possess high professional standards and be committed to developing your teaching
• have strong subject-specific and didactic competencies within Danish and/or social science
• can participate in a committed professional learning community
• are curious, collaborative and take responsibility for both your own and shared tasks
• are keen to contribute to the development of a strong and attractive PA-education

Terms of employment

• The position is 30-37 hours with start on December 1, 2026

• In connection with employment in the position, a child welfare and criminal record check will be conducted.
