About the job

Vagtfri fuldtids eller deltids stilling som Speciallæge på Billeddiagnostisk Afd., Aalborg Universitetshospital i Hobro

Rarely posted position available for our department in Hobro to be filled as soon as possible.

We are seeking as of November 1st or by agreement a radiology specialist who should ideally have broad general radiology experience – or who would like to move from a sub-specialty to the broader part of the field.

The department is characterized by an exceptional work environment where we help each other. Furthermore, the position is distinguished by being on-call-free, and combined with the opportunities we provide to accommodate any wishes for part-time employment, this is a highly attractive position for you who value a good working environment and broad radiological work. If you would like a combined position between the Aalborg campuses and your primary workplace in Hobro, that could also be a possibility.

Our youngest training doctors also come to Hobro. We have found that what you and your colleagues can do in Hobro is unique in terms of equipping our future radiology colleagues with fundamental radiology. Therefore you should be willing to sit with some hopeful and inspiring people who come to learn and draw knowledge from you.

About the department and section

The Department of Radiology is one of the country’s largest with an annual number of examinations of about 285,000. The department diagnoses, investigates, and treats patients admitted to Aalborg University Hospital as well as referred patients from general practitioners in the North Jutland Region. In addition, the highly specialized functions within radiology in the North Jutland Region are performed only in Aalborg. The department is distributed across 5 campuses: Hospital Town, Aalborg South, Thisted, Hobro and Farsø. The advertised position is physically located in Hobro.

You will in Hobro work together with an experienced group of radiologists, where the majority are employed part-time. The duties consist of a broad range of ultrasound and CT. In ultrasound there are simple invasive procedures in the form of ascites- and pleural drainages. In addition, conventional X-ray examinations are performed, most of which are described by radiographers. There is thus no MRI tied to the function, but if you have experience and interest in it, that is also a possibility. The present doctors have different competencies and complement each other.

Applicants’ qualifications

You must be a radiology specialist. Experience with ultrasound is an advantage.

You should be keen to work in a smaller place where your interest and experience in the breadth of radiology weigh more than sub-specialization.

It is expected that you, in relation to the department, involve yourself in the daily workflow and have visions for its future development, including assignment of teaching and supervision of younger colleagues.

Personal qualifications

We are seeking a physician with excellent collaboration skills, flexibility, loyalty and empathy. A physician who has good personal integrity as well as the ability to show decisiveness when necessary.

Research and development

As a university hospital, research and development are highly prioritized. The university hospital plays a substantial role in both the introductory and main radiology training. Continuous efforts are made to develop a good learning environment that ensures younger doctors a solid basic and specialist education. Therefore, the position will include medical teaching and supervision of younger doctors. If you wish to conduct research or publications, we have a radiology research department at the Aalborg campus.

And our professor is always happy to help and give good advice if there is something you are passionate about.

In the position we therefore place emphasis on

  • Broad experience in the radiological field – or at least a willingness to gain it
  • Preferably educational experience
  • Good collaborative skills
  • Visions for the development of the section and department
  • That you take responsibility for solving the section’s tasks
  • Can contribute with medical teaching

Further information can be obtained by contacting the head of the Department of Radiology, Peter Lasborg ( [email protected] ) tel. 40207594

Applicants will be assessed based on the 7 physician roles. Since part of the form must be filled out by the applicant, please obtain the form from the website: http://www.aalborguh.rn.dk/Service/Kompetenceskema

For positions in the North Jutland Region, references and a child certificate must be obtained for the applicant to be hired.

Salary and terms follow the collective agreement for YL or OVL entered into between Danish Regions and the Association of Specialist Doctors.

A motivated application including a curriculum vitae. Applications must be submitted through the region’s recruitment system https://rn.dk/da/Genveje/Karriere/Ledige-job

Application deadline 15 January 2027.
