About the job
Do you want to make a real difference for people who have come to Denmark and Stevns, and create the best conditions for their integration through early employment and education?
It is important that you, like us, believe that the labor market is one of the main paths to integration. Therefore we work purposefully to ensure that citizens gain a connection to the labor market and acquire Danish language skills as early as possible.
In Job & Indsats we seek a colleague for the employment-oriented authority initiatives in the integration area, where we see complex legislation, as well as language- and cultural barriers, as a positive challenge.
In your daily work you will perform authority functions through job interviews and case coordination, and support the labor market- and business-oriented efforts. You will be an important part of the work to ensure professional quality in the cases, but also to plan and carry out an effort that brings citizens closer to employment. Including e.g. coordination with language schools and other partners, as well as close collaboration with colleagues regarding the reception of new citizens.
We work closely together in the municipality, and you will have good colleagues for sparring — both in relation to reception, service delivery and collaboration with the companies.
Competence profile
- You have authority experience from the employment field, preferably the integration area, possibly with a background as social worker or social mediator
- You can work structured, holistic and targeted with a view to both employment and integration
- You believe that inclusion in the labor market is a central part of a successful integration, and through company-oriented programs we can open doors for all our citizens
- You are persistent, focused and action-oriented on your own and the citizens' behalf
- You can translate competencies into concrete job opportunities and motivate citizens' active job searching through CVs, applications and company-oriented dialogue
We offer you
- A workplace with an open atmosphere and informal interactions, contributing to a positive approach to work, with room for personal and professional development
- Part of a team and department with shared sparring as part of daily life
- A meaningful, exciting and challenging job where you can make a difference for others
- An varied daily life with many different tasks, and citizens with very diverse perspectives, starting points and resources
- Opportunity for a high degree of independent planning of work
- A job with a focus on goals and results
Us as the workplace
You will become part of our Department Job & Indsats, which in addition to the integration efforts also works with job-ready unemployment benefit recipients, A-dagpenge, disability compensating schemes, as well as employment-oriented efforts through our employment mentors and company consultants.
In daily practice you will be part of a team of five employees in total, four job brokers and one business consultant, who together have the responsibility for the municipality's employment efforts for the integration citizens and the job-ready unemployment benefit recipients. Most of our 75 unemployed integration citizens currently come via the special act from Ukraine, but are otherwise citizens from e.g. Eritrea and Syria.
As a department we cultivate and prioritize interdisciplinary collaboration with a high sparring culture. In daily work this means close collaboration with the benefits area and the housing social workers, who know many of our integration citizens, just as there are good opportunities for sparring and collaboration in the department to find the right companies and create good job opportunities for the unemployed.
Employment terms and salary
The position is a permanent 37-hour role with start as soon as possible. Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement.
A driving license is a necessity to be able to travel to companies and Mandehoved, where most of our integration citizens live. The workplace is, as a rule, the Town Hall in Store Heddinge.
Application deadline is Monday 19 October 2026. The position can only be applied for online via Stevns Municipality's website. Interviews may be held on a rolling basis or on Tuesday 27 October 2026.
Would you like to know more?
