Student tutors for the occupational therapy program

We are seeking academically strong and engaged students from the occupational therapy program who, as student instructors, can contribute to the development of tomorrow's students at the Copenhagen Academy of Professional Higher Education (KP).

The role of student instructor

You will primarily teach across different semesters at KP in ergonomics and occupational health and safety, where you will plan the teaching and undertake independent teaching tasks under supervision. You should expect to be able to teach both alone and with others.

Your role as an instructor is somewhat special in that you are at eye level with your students because you have recently been where they are now. You can therefore understand what is difficult and relate to their reflections.

You will be assigned mentor Nanna Raunsø as your contact person. Before you first enter your role, you will be introduced to the teaching tasks you will be responsible for. You will also participate in a one-day course for student instructors, focusing on how to plan good teaching. The teaching you undertake will be evaluated on an equal footing with our other teaching.

Your concrete tasks will include, among other things

• Teaching and guiding students in, among others, the midwifery and laboratory technician programs, as well as KP staff in ergonomics, including workplace layout.

We expect that you

• Are currently on the 5th or 6th semester of the occupational therapy program
• Are academically strong and engaged as a student
• Are patient and good at thinking creatively and along different lines when explaining the various ergonomic topics, and thus can contribute to KP’s objective: Jointly professionalize those who succeed in practice
• Are prepared to act as a good role model for students who have just started the occupational therapy program
• Want and have a talent for conveying your professional knowledge and engagement – perhaps you already have experience with teaching or oral communication
• May have knowledge of professional practice within your education beyond what is expected of you as a student
• Enjoy collaborating and thrive when several people work together to achieve a common goal.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed as a student instructor with start as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position for up to 3 years depending on where you are in your studies. The workload may vary, but is estimated to be around 20-30 hours per semester.

You will be employed on an individual contract. The hourly wage is DKK 180.69 as of 1 August 2026.

Your employment is in accordance with Executive Order on the job structure for teachers at higher education institutions at business academies, professional universities etc., no. 414 of 27 April 2025 .

Employment as a student instructor requires that you are enrolled as a student at a higher education institution and that you have completed the 1st semester of the education on which you will teach or an equivalent level.

The workplace is located at Sigurdsgade 26, 2200 Copenhagen N.
