Nurse or Social and Health Care Assistant for specialized dementia ward

Permanent evening shift | 30 hours per week | Work every 2nd weekend in odd weeks as of January 1, 2027

At Ældrecenter Vesterlund we are looking for a nurse or a social and health care assistant with a desire to work in a team on a specialized dementia ward, where behaviour can sometimes seem incomprehensible. We work from a neuro-pedagogical approach and with a focus on regulating arousal.

• We primarily have residents with cognitive challenges distributed across 5 wards
• The position is attached to a newly started specialized department with 9 residents
• We work with person-centered care and neuro-pedagogical approaches

Who are you?

• Qualified nurse or social and health care assistant
• Preferably with experience or interest in the dementia field
• Can work to maintain calm in the ward and help create security for colleagues and residents in an unpredictable daily life.
• Strong collaboration skills and professional curiosity

Your tasks

• Person-centered care and nursing
• Interdisciplinary collaboration according to agreed plans
• Documentation, observation and professional development
• Cooperation with relatives and external partners

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
