We are seeking a mathematics and visual arts teacher who can handle mathematics in 1-2 of the school's lovely classes, and participate in our two weekly creative blocks with visual arts. Other teaching competencies will be tried to be put into play depending on the subject.

Facts

Vejrup Børneby has 110 students distributed across one stream from 0th – 6th grade and offers fantastic frames for teaching with smaller classes (about 15 students on average). The school is exceptionally well-kept, well equipped, tidy and clean with plenty of space and nice facilities both outdoors and indoors. We have a large hall, multipurpose room, sports fields, bouncy cushion, pump track, school garden, outdoor workshop, big playgrounds and generally a lot of space to unfold indoors.

We operate a community-oriented school, and are particularly focused on students' safety and participation in the community. Community is not a slogan at Vejrup Børneby, but rather the starting point in our value base, and we work systematically with community throughout the children’s town.

Practical, project-oriented and cross-disciplinary focus

We have subjects where classical subjects fuse in new ways, and on Fridays the classes work together in phases with a cross-disciplinary, community- and project-oriented focus.

Safety

We believe that having consistently familiar adults in the classes makes students feel safer, and we plan to have as few different adults in the classes as possible.

Reading

We are very focused on reading, for which we have a prioritized strategy based on the latest knowledge and research in the area.

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the current provisions on local wage formation. Additionally, after a concrete assessment, qualification and/or function allowances may be agreed depending on the content of the position and your experience and qualifications.
