Then you may be our new team leader in the central finance staff at Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality.

We changed the organization in the Finance Staff as of January 1, 2027, and have reorganized tasks so that all financial consultants who work with budgeting, accounting and financial management are gathered in one department. We therefore søker) a team leader who, reporting to the department head, will have personnel responsibility for seven skilled financial consultants who support the areas of Growth and Learning (schools and preschools), Social and Labour Market as well as staff functions.

The Finance Staff and the staff for IT, Security and Digitization have also, as something new, been merged as of October 1, 2026, which is another organizational change that may affect the tasks in the position.

Your knowledge of and interest in the subject areas is essential, as you will become an important sparring partner in financial discussions on, among other things, allocation models, subsidies to private providers and preventive actions in the social field. You will also be involved in analyses and assessments of the financial consequences and expectations of the employment reform. The tasks are diverse and wide-ranging, which demands both professional curiosity, the ability to understand complex problems and a willingness to collaborate across the organization.

Your tasks

As team leader you will play a central role in the daily leadership and development of the finance staff. You must be able to navigate between leadership, coordination and own task execution.

Your tasks will include, among others

People management

• Personnel responsibility for seven financial consultants
• Support employees' professional development and well-being
• Conduct performance reviews and ongoing sparring with employees
• Prioritize and coordinate work tasks
• Actively contribute to the development of Finance as a workplace

Professional leadership and coordination

• Ensure good collaboration and coordination with the subject areas including acting as sparring partner for heads of departments and the executive
• Ensure quality and coherence in the team's deliverables in line with the Finance Staff annual cycle
• Support common methods, workflows and standards
• Be a professional sparring partner for the financial consultants in complex cases
• Contribute to cross-cutting development tasks and projects
• Work closely with the department head and actively contribute to the management team

Own task execution

You will also have responsibility for driving your own tasks and case areas, which will vary according to needs. It could include, for example:

• Preparation of decision briefs on economic action plans for the executive and political committees
• Financial development tasks in the individual subject areas
• Participation in larger projects and reform work across the municipality

The tasks may vary over time depending on the organization's needs and your competences, and you may be involved in tasks in other teams within the Finance Staff.

About Finance

Finance is a central staff function in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality with about 40 employees. The staff's portfolio covers a wide range. The staff handles and supports financial management for the entire organization - both at the strategic and operational levels. The staff handles tasks related to budgeting processes, budget monitoring, accounting, capital management and the multi-year capital investment perspective, procurement, fleet management, efficiencies, collections, control of social fraud, coordination of transport and overall management information and analyses.

The staff is organized with a leadership team consisting of a head of the staff and two department heads, as well as this newly created team leader position in one of the departments.

We work closely across subject areas and management levels and focus on delivering high quality, good service and value-creating solutions for the organization.

We have an office at the town hall in Ringe with good transport options and flexible working conditions.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment terms in accordance with applicable collective agreement with the possibility of negotiation under Ny Løn (New Pay).

The position is full-time, and the start date is expected from January 1, 2027 .
