Technical service manager wanted for Holmsland School in a 37-hour permanent position

Holmsland School is seeking, as of 15 December 2026 or as soon as possible, a committed technical service leader who will be responsible for the technical, practical and operational tasks at both Holmsland School and the new Holmsland Childcare House. The position is on a 37-hour week.

Holmsland Helhed brings together school, after-school care (SFO) and day care, and with the combined site location you will have a daily routine where collaboration, presence and flexibility are essential. You will become an important part of everyday life and have a strong influence on ensuring that our buildings, outdoor areas and technical installations function optimally – for the benefit of children, staff and other users.

The school comprises 80 pupils and 19 staff, and the childcare house comprises 44 children and 13 staff.

The school itself appears bright and neat, the SFO is newly renovated and the childcare house is newly built – both with new playgrounds in scenic surroundings.

We are looking for someone who

• thrives in a daily life in close contact with both children and adults, and who wants to be a visible, approachable and helpful part of the community
• can plan and structure your own workday, maintain an overview and prioritise tasks, while being flexible and able to adapt when acute needs arise
• takes initiative, works independently and sees it as a natural part of the job to help where the need is greatest
• has an eye for maintenance and ongoing optimization of our buildings and outdoor areas – both inside and outside – and can see the need for long-term maintenance of buildings and outdoor areas
• has good IT skills and an interest in technical solutions, including climate control, alarm systems and other technical installations
• has good collaboration skills and a desire to engage in close cooperation with management, staff, cleaning team and other external partners – including the cross-cluster collaboration in the municipality's property center

Your main tasks will be

• daily operation, maintenance and optimization of the school's and childcare house's buildings, technical installations and outdoor areas
• monitoring and handling of technical systems, including climate control, alarms and other IT-based solutions
• planning and prioritisation of your own tasks as well as handling ongoing and acutely arising needs
• co-ordination of tasks and responsibility for the cleaning team, which currently consists of two part-time employees
• collaboration with management, staff and relevant external partners to ensure well-functioning physical frameworks

For us it is important that you have a relevant technical or craft background, possibly an education as a property service technician, and preferably experience with building operation, technical service and coordination of practical tasks. You must be responsible, solution-oriented and thrive working independently in a daily life where cooperation and flexibility are a prerequisite for a successful workday.

You will be part of a larger technical community with the municipality's other technical service colleagues and the Property Center. Here you can receive professional sparring, share knowledge and solve tasks together across the buildings.
